Noah, the little aiming trick on stairs saves you so much time in the end. There are so many stairs in this game that you save like 2 minutes or something by just doing that

Noah, at 11:58, the first bossfight is so fast because of the frame rate. You can see he has set his game to run at 120 fps and so the knife registers as multiple hits for every swipe If you try the same tactic at 30fps the bossfight will be much slower I don't really know why it is that way but i hope it explains at least the insane speed of the bossfight

Fun fact idk if noah knows this. I havent finished watching the full video. But there are different categories for this game 1 being 120fps and another being 60 fps. For some strange reason the knife is super strong on 120fps and thats why he killed birkin so damn fast.

Noah, you should watch SHiFT's Spongebob Squarepants Battle for Bikini Bottom any% run. He recently just got a run under 46min. In the community this time was thought to be impossible and he just did it. The game has some of the most interesting glitches and skips I have ever seen in a speedrun. Love the content!

Hey, portal speedrunner here, i'd reccomend watching the portal 1's Inbounds NoSLA, i seen that you didnt like that in out of bounds that he was just going through walls, this catagory is the perfect catagory for movement and basic glitches, as it dissalows abusing saving and loading to get out of bounds easily

Imagine damaging a boss so fast that the game needed a minute to understand it. Then imagine doing that with a knife rather than a rocket launcher like your supposed to.

Musician here, specifically rudimental percussion. The reason speedrunners are “always good at piano” is due to a lot of similarities between the two disciplines; 1. Finger dexterity. Both require some serious hand/eye coordination. 2. Timing. In music this is half the battle, in speed running its everything. Get out of time and not only can people notice, but it also seems “wrong” 3. Micromanagement of repetition. A lot of times people just watch speedrunners go start to finish of games but what they don’t watch is the 600 times they practiced one checkpoint in a row, the 2,000 attempts on one mission (or phrase/measure in the case of music) Each game seems like it’s own piece, each engine seeming like it’s own composer. Mastering the ins/outs of specifics of either practice becomes so rewarding regardless of if you are “the best” or not.

Maybe you could ask the creators of the speedrun of those longer games to make a smaller version of the video? Something like 2-4x speed on parts like running and gathering nonsense. Keep just core aspects like main missions, important checkpoints and of course everyone favorite glitches/exploits. Maybe you can get 4 or 6 hour speedrun down to 1 1/2- 3 hours? 3 hours might be 2 long but under 2 hours is doable
