It is absolutely obscene to me how this is being demolished. Who could possibly need a bigger mansion than this? You could house a town in this place! I hope they take out as much as they can, like the beautiful vanities, the doors, kitchen appliances - even the curtains are probably expensive as heck. Very sad.
@user-tb2jy9lu3d29 күн бұрын
Sadly, it would probably cost too much to even have that stuff removed and sold vs just tearing it down.

well lots of people are living on the streets because they are lazy, addicted, have no ambition, ... So sick of this homeless BS, stop making them all victims. I look at this and note the terrible discrepancy in wealth distribution. How many people suffer in lack and remain unsheltered and something like this stands empty waiting to be destroyed only to have something even more wasteful replacing it?
@waynesummey505120 күн бұрын
I don't resent the obstantatious wealth. I DO resent the flagrant waste of resources. It's hideous that vast poverty around the world. You don't see slums being bulldozed for AFFORDABLE housing. If it is done ; it is government housing.
@frevebe769319 күн бұрын
well wealth is not distributed... If you do nothing you have nothing, simple as that. Everybody can start a business. Most people just have no ambition and are lazy.
@waynesummey505119 күн бұрын
@frevebe7693 agree . There will never be same level of wealth. Communism does not work. Just railing at the ripping up of well built mansions while hovels stand all over the developed world. Instead of building in a new area . I like restoration. Not bulldoze.
@i.JoanaT16 күн бұрын
This is what happens when you’re loaded with money but still unfulfilled and keep using material things to try and fulfil what you really lack - something that has nothing to do with money. The house has beautiful features but far too big. I’d never really use a lot of the rooms and I feel most people wouldn’t either. Having a house that’s too big is more a statement than anything else, it’s for people who lack self-worth so they try to use material things to increase it. It’s quite sad really.

If you look at the opening scenes by drone, you can see big areas of discoloration on the roof. Maybe the quickest way to do heaps of damage in 50 different places is to neglect the roof - and that goes for little houses too. My guess is that they ignored the roof for 18 years. Even so, the house could be repaired. But a roof that size, plus the many areas of water stains and damage, would be around a $million repair bill.
