Hi Noah. I agree with you that these old farm homes are just getting bulldozed for ugly cracker cutter houses or even worse high density apartments. I bet this place originally had acres of land that got sold of the past couple decades, then the home itself got cut up into weird apartments. It was hard to imagine what it originally looked like, but seeing the built ins throughout, the beautiful original windows, fireplace etc definitely showed the beauty of it. That little bathroom for the outside was weird but actually a great idea for little kids running in & out when playing outside. Believe me, we have 9 grandkids, & when they’re all over & we’re outside for the pool, that would definitely come in handy😂Take care Noah

Hi Noah They turned this beautiful farmhouse into a boarding house. They probably needed money so thats why they closed up some walls and some of the doors had numbers on them. It’s a nice size piece of property and some cool outbuildings. There are a lot of nice features in this house. Cool explore Noah. Thanks for bringing us along with you. 👍 Good one Noah, I like to think whoever did the concrete work did have access to a shoe factory. At 4:22 appears to me to be a springhouse turned into a child's playhouse, notice the wallpaper. Very interesting place. Where did 5 tenants park??? Lots of bits and pieces salvaged to use. Some really nice. Some not so much. 70s, 80s and early 90s all smushed together. Surprised you said it didn’t smell musty. Two layers of carpet over vinyl? Yikes. How many stories could this place tell in all of its versions. This one is would love to know the history. Thanks for sharing.

Those are shoe last put into the concrete; shoe last are used to make shoes and boots. That was an odd and strange place to a toilet, unless they had a above ground pool at one time. yeah watch your step ! The woodwork in the entry was nice, sad it was covered in paint. Cool explore. The shoe makers house is really awesome I think maybe the man build a lot of it his self and well taken care of but the part where you had to bend your neck and your head was hitting the roof was built for the children maybe so the children could have there own part of the house too I believe that's why they did that for the little kids

Interesting place. That mess of rooms upstairs is what happens when someone decides to turn a big old house into apartments with no real thought to the livability of those apartments. I have lived in several situations like that, always an adventure. Thanks, Noah and friends

The individual buildings remind me of bunk houses, one looking like a kitchen with a pass-through window to the outside at counter-height and frig (maybe a canning kitchen?). The outside communal bathroom makes sense if the property was used to house migrant field workers or for a summer camp for kids.

People are under the impression a place has to be left empty for paint to peel. I have lived in the house I am renting for over five years... and the kitchen ceiling paint is starting to peel. In my opinion, maybe cheap paint.

It is the house and the square footage of land it sits on plus an acre of land. This house is too big for it to be sitting on just one acre of land in total. There is at least an acre of land surrounding the house itself. I would say the entire lot is close to 3 acres of land in total.

That room where the front door is used to be the porch. The guy who owned this place never threw anything away. Probably did most of the work himself over decades. That house has been added onto a LOT! So sad how much time and energy will just be erased..

Maybe the “outhouse” was for the little guesthouses. They sure had some strange angles in that house. The first kitchen downstairs is a nightmare! You could do microwave cooking in it and not much else. Sad that it’s being torn down.

It was a much smaller, re-situated home that probably dates back to the 1920s, possibly earlier, in Victorian farmhouse construction, would be my guess. The arts & crafts movement was coming in strong around then. I see Craftsman clean lines, but also a lot of grandeur in the woodwork on the walls and trim. It would have been incredibly beautiful wood before someone decided to paint it out. That kills me. I also see additions from later decades that I assume were added to suit their intended use of the home. The linoleum flooring probably is original and I would bet the kitchen used to be situated in that portion of the house. Linoleum has been around since mid 1800s and was very fashionable. Nothing like what we know today as vinyl flooring. I would love to restore that home back to what it was built to be. So sad that they’re tearing down history for the sake of a dollar. 11:56

I am sure that house has hardwood floors . You can find out how old it is by looking up the tax records . Usually you just have to google the address city and county .

While I love 70s and 80s interiors a lot, this is too much of a mishmash of weird colours and styles to be anything in particular - some of the colour/material clashes are downright awful. The many outbuildings are interesting, really get the vibe that a commune was living there somehow. Great explore - and remember don’t open fridge doors! Lol
