In Rare Joint Interview, Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn on Iraq, Vietnam, Activism and History
In a Democracy Now! special from Boston, two of the city's leading dissidents, Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn, sit down for a rare joint interview. Noam Chomsky began teaching linguistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge over 50 years ago. He is the author of dozens of books on linguistics and U.S. foreign policy. Howard Zinn is one of the country's most widely-read historians. His classic work "A People's History of the United States' has sold over 1.5 million copies and it has altered how many teach the nation's history. Chomsky and Zinn discuss Vietnam, activism, history, Israel-Palestine, and Iraq, which Chomsky calls "one of the worst catastrophes in military and political history."

@AI-Hallucination I don't disagree, but I'd argue this lasts a lifetime also. They were friends, and I wanted to experience their fellowship in person. You can't get that in a book, and I don't have a time machine

Twenty five years later these men impact me like a blazing light. How did the torch of truth be hidden. By the grace of God and the glory of human creativity, all hidden things are being made known. All who survive this day of truth dawning feel good clean air rushing in. May all our heads be crowned with fire and purged of dross. I am 84 years old and STUNNED to be able to time travel and hear preserved golden voices speaking incorruptible FACTS!

12 years and USA still has not retreated. It has just replaced US army personnel with private contractors like Blackwater or whatever they're called these days and radicalization of the disenfranchised is faster then it ever was.

Why don't you do yourself a huge favor and try to make up your own mind instead of finding others to imitate. You have a brain and a ton of material at your disposal so use it and come to your own conclusions. You see all these clones here on youtube repeating what others say, none of them having had an original thought in their life. No clue what they're saying but just trying to sound good. It's a sad state of affairs for the intellectual vibrancy of our culture.

Amy was atypical U.S. government employee in East Timor when she was allegedly beaten by ....whatever. Show us the photos of your alleged injuries there, Goodman. Prove you aren't a liar and not an employee of American government while nosing around as a supposed freelance journalist. Chomsky has been informing on everyone since at least day one at M.I.T as their employee....he thinks he had the perfect cover...most people saw through it from the beginning.
