Disheartening how little people care about these issues that affect us all. We’ll come to regret it.

It’s amazing that the working class hasn’t fully organized against the slave master executives and politicians. People in the late 60s understood reality.

It kind of is,, seeing things going downhill for decades would depress me but being a successful professor in a related field keeps Noam centered,, God knows activism has few rewards..

It's a sad state of affairs, looking at these people, who are concerned with matters that effect all of us, discussing potentially the end of the human race. While people that consider themselves modern activists, would spend their days arguing over the color of a mermaid in a Disney movie... They are a different breed from a different time. Cherish them.

And most people going by business as usual. It's hard to fathom.

But we don't control the military, the people have been totally locked out of any International decision making by corporations for well over 100 years... even before that, The Constitution plainly separates the people from corporations or else people would have the power to change corporations, which they don't.. I realize corporations as they stand today weren't around in 1780 however all the building blocks were there.. so all people can do is try and talk to their fellow people and try and get these things changed however, we know with the Trump movement that some people will simply be swayed by idiotic arguments and useless chest beating in place of any actual activism...

David Barsamian is a character. It's like he looked up twice during the entire interview. Once he even left his chair. Funny! Results, i guess, of being on radio for a long time

❤✋ i do support your points of view. I hope the people in the west starts to understand, know the truth and realize the road they talking us to… before it’s too late! -- Also “John Mearsheimer” is one of my favorite and he predicted all that to happen with lots of rationalities…

Great questions, and very informative (as always) consciousness raising answers. Thanks David Barsamian, and Noam! - One of the rare refreshing dose of common sense in this otherwise whole swamp of deranged, mindless propaganda environment

Barsamian’s brush off (30:17) of Chomsky’s analogy of the falling man refusing help is shocking, disgusting and highly disrespectful! Inadvertently, he is confirming Chomsky’s point-- “The World is ending, now a word from our sponsor”
@r3b3lvegan892 жыл бұрын
That’s very typical of media hosts, most are complete idiots but try hard to sound intelligent. I know it’s not popular opinion, but social media figures are not gonna save the working class let alone the most oppressed people in extreme poverty created by the US corporate gov

It’s almost as if the host isn’t even really internalizing Chomsky’s words, at all. People need to face fear and realize we are getting in our own way and letting the bad guys reign free.
I love how leftists count “most of the world” as if the words of autocracies matter … as if the world is one big democratic place

Did “social democracy” include Japanese internment camps and Indian reservations? Get a grip, Noam! This country was founded on fascism! And after WW 2, the U.S. supported Jewish fascists in Palestine!
