Great review Mark. I noticed from the infotainment screen had today's date on it, 31/01/2022. Seriously, you reviewed, edited and uploaded all in the same day!! Top marks for some serious hard work. I was looking forward to this one, Mark, awesome review and I love the car! Its amazing how Kia became great cars manufacturer over the last years. For me, definitely a top contender in the vast crossover/SUV market and I will be checking this one myself. Also, thanks for bringing all those NEW models for review! Great video.i viewed the gt line S,strangely unlike the current generation there's no S on the gt line S front grill/boot to distinguish it from the standard gt line. don't get that atall.the front seat bases were very small like in the kuga,no under knee support and very very hard,what did you think?no isofix points in the middle rear seats that I'd need,where was the middle seat belt I didn't notice Mark,hopefully not one of them horrible ones that come down from the roof

Nice work Nobby. Great review. I currently drive the mk 3 shortage 1.7d. at 267k on the clock and it just doesn't go wrong, it's been absolutely bullet-proof, plus-it spends regular summer weekends confidently towing a caravan around the highways on family hols . I just can't fault it. My neighbour has the mk4 and says the same about that. I wouldn't hesitate to go sportage again. I think the mk5 is classy. I'd go as far as saying, better looking than the Tucson, and if the pennies pile high enough, I'd have the diesel-all day long.

Great review as always Nobby but why oh why is it necessary to insert promotional footage of the review car from another country - probably different spec car on much better roads than here in Ireland. If omitting such footage shortens your review so be it. We want to see and hear the car being tested in Ireland so can go to the dealers better informed. Keep up the good work!!
@NobbyOnCars2 жыл бұрын
hi Michael thanks for watching - it doesn't make the vid any longer it's just to mix up the footage when in car driving takes place. It doesn't remove details about Ireland though, the prices and spec discussed elsewhere in the video are all about Ireland. It's simply to display the car in a nice setting.

@@NobbyOnCars thank you! I prefer the interior of the Kia and the exterior as well. Not a fan of all the geometry lines on the sides of the Tucson. A great review, but can't help think that this car is badly timed. A big diesel just as the sales collapse and EV sales are taking off, not sure this will sell like the old versions did. As for mild (what is the point) Hybrid, just a gimmick. The car looks nice and solid and with the new design, is showing KIA are really leaving their old reputation behind.
@ahighervibe40862 жыл бұрын
The diesel is not even an option in most of the larger markets! And hybrids or anything but a gimmick... gas mileage for Hybrid models is far above that of the standard gasoline models.

@@NobbyOnCars Will be interesting to see how they compare. Often you find you guys testing the same car so it's interesting to see you both driving different cars from a colour perspective. I do still think there's a need for a diesel option not just because it's the only choice for distance work on the motorway but because given that SUVs are by their nature heavy cars, the petrols hybrid or not will never be as efficient over distance.
