How do you use the colors like that is it a bunch of drawings how does that work?

Ok, how I do the majority of post-affects is in the stopmotion Studio app. I have the 1x payment premium for like 6 bucks. With that, I go frame-by-frame, adding various colors of various opacity, over 1-3 layers on average.
