Hi Briony, Great video, good balanced lighting, no harsh shadows, the sound was clear, even and easy to hear. Rather enjoyed the fast forward take of you putting the chair together ;) Would have been funny to start it off by doing it while giving the setup take LOL would have sounded like Alvin the chipmunk after inhaling helium :P. The music score was delightfully appropriate, and the extra added advertisement to your YT channel in the background on your streamer was a good idea ! Your observation about the chair being firm at first and easing up to become softer after a while, was on par with what Brian @badseedtech said when he reviewed the chair. At the 6m33s mark, I agree with the lumbar pillow not being secure. I think noble could have done away with this issue by simply adding 2-3 vertical strips of "hook and loop" matierial [aka velcro] starting from where the backrest touches the seat portion, and have it extend up the backrest for about.4-8", to accommodate people of all heights. Hook and loop comes in many colors so it would blend into the chair once it's fixed to the leather. Plus you or anyone else won't even see it sticking out from behind the lumbar pillow much when it's vacant, and certainly not when you're sitting in it. All in all I enjoyed the video review, and will def look for your earlier ones to see if there is a product I'd like info on. I bought a gaming chair Noble chairs Icon leather series. Although the price is much higher than the average gaming chair, the quality is really good. The thick leather chair is really comfortable to sit on! You can know it by actually comparing it!!

Looks better than most gaming chairs, but the two pillows seem like a poor solution to lumbar support and headrest on office chairs. The human back is not flat so why is the chair back flat?

I feel the exact same way. That's why the Hero or Titan is a better choice, with the built in lunar support dial. Unfortunately, for my height, this is the chair that Noblechairs recommends. 5 10 220lbs.

I have had an EPIC Series Real Leather for about a year now and can agree with the build quality, it is very well made, however, I find the quality of the arms let it down somewhat. If the arm rests were leather cushioned as well then I would be a happy bunny. Nice review Briony, you seem to be getting the hang of it now.

I have one in pu-leather and I think it is absolutely amazing. The fake leather is of really high quality and if you have cats like me, real leather is a no go anyway. :D I also had back problems which have become less and less in the months I have this chair.

Would you rather have hero, icon or epic? I have the hero in leather. Just wondering if the adjustable lumbar support makes a massive difference in the hero compared to the icon (which doesnt include the adjustable lumbar support) because I want to get my girlfriend the icon. Great review. Thanks Briony. I get that the leather makes for a higher price, which is a nice option. Not sure £200 makes it a great option, and the chair looks good, but what is different about it? Why buy this chair over say, a Maxnomic, a GT Omega, or a DX Racer? I have a Maxnomic and I have a GT Omega and they look exactly like this Noble. I'd like to see a brand try something innovative with their high end chairs.

I've not tried those brands out for a review unfortunately so I don't have a huge amount of experience with them. However I do agree most of the high end chairs are a very similar design. The thing that I think makes this chair a bit different to others that I've seen is the unique leather colours available and the more relaxed shape. noblechairs build quality also seems to be excellent but I'm not sure how it varies to the others you mentioned. It would be nice to see a company bring out something truly unique :)

Briony Hannam You must try them. Gaming chair reviews are few and far between and certainly not brand or range extensive. I appreciate shipping is a pain, and sending them back is not easy, and if you keep them, what do you do with them; but these companies have to appreciate that you can't just walk into your local Staples and try these chairs out. Reviewers shift merchandise. You're right. The colours are more refined on the Noble. They are far removed from the in-your-face colours of the huge E Sports range offered by Maxnomic. Plus, I suppose the curves are less defined, so it leans more to the office chair design. A bit. But the armrests, the wheels, the plastic covers hiding the reclining mechanism, the paddle adjust, all the same and have been for years. But the lumbar pillow not having straps is a real oversight by Noble. However, they all suffer from the same thing. You touched on it in your review. They are all too high. As you said, you are not short. I'm 6 foot, and I find on their lowest setting, they are comfortable. As you go up the range with all these chairs, they up the weight limit but also up the the height range. So a short, lightweight girl can't have a top of the range chair? And a tall heavyset guy can't have the entry level design? OK, there is a shorter gas ram available, but why is the ability to choose one or the other not an option on ordering? Over and above this, unless your desk is a sit/stand job, what desk requires a seat base height of 58cm anyway? Anyway, rant over. Keep 'em coming please :)

They are very very similar :)The Icon is more of a relaxed shape. I prefer the epic as the colour matches my set up better.

Thanks. Here in Brazil, for some reason, the ICON Real Leather version cost 30% more than the EPIC Real Leather version, and for me, the "gaming chair style" is not comfortable like a real supercar seat, such as a GT3RS or a 458 Speciale. I'm afraid to spend less on PU version and to peel or spoil the leather in 1 year at least.
