Jacking up the price to "imply" quality is an old trick. When considering these, I couldn't find a protection rating/class. 100grams lighter than a cheaper Leatt dual axis kneeguard isn't worth wondering if it "might" protect my knees. Thanks for the honest & informative review!

Thank you so much for digging into these pads instead of all the surface videos that come out to "Yep - looks good". Learned about the importance of carbon fiber thickness and even dug into their claim of 3K carbon fiber, which is...fine. Thanks for saving me $300.

Interesting. Yet I have to say that fell on my back the other day with my Kingsong 16x at speed about 20 mph. I was wearing these nobleman pads on my knees and elbows. So I fell on my elbows that were the first to touch the ground. And I felt nothing, absolutely nothing. The elbow pads did a great job and are still in perfect condition. So speaking about my own experience on the real world, these tq1 seem great until now.

I am glad they worked for you and protected you in your fall. I will never be upset when a rider is protected or gets some protection from safety gear. They are better than nothing, but I think they could be and should be better for the price. I do appreciate the view and willingness to share your experience. Ride hard…carve safe…wear that protection…and have a GREAT day!!

Thank you Dude for the view and comment. I just kind of tell it like it is. Too many companies these days try to capitalize on a growing trend by offering a product that is minimal on quality but maximizes "coolness" if that makes sense. Ride hard...carve safe...wear that protection and have a GREAT day!

Hey dude. Again, great video. tx. i receive mine today (knee pad only) (fox armure for the top) and i have the same reflexion as you. My motorcycle helmet is carbon and trust me, they're is no bending!! They look fantastic thought. I guess they will old up for a moderate crash( hopefully) and haven't try them yet, still waiting for my Zeus to rock up. Tx for the video . Cheers man!

When it comes to protective gear, definitively function over fashion. I have had good luck with Leatt from a functional/fit standpoint. The price is reasonable for the protection they provide and they look pretty good as well.

They also make the pull on ones like the ones you referred to in the video with hard plastic, I have those on the way from China. I’ll let you know how I like them. I find that any strap during the summer days are uncomfortable for me.
@esk8ooligan2 жыл бұрын
Ya, please let us know. I am not overly impressed with these. I really do not want to slam my knee into the ground at 30 just to test the durability. I mean, I like this channel and my fellow ESK8rs, but I have to draw the line somewhere...guess that is at the knees. Thanks for the view and comment.
@meave27122 жыл бұрын
@@esk8ooligan Got the pull on ones in , VERY impressed, build quality is great, they have some heft to them and you can tell they aren’t cheap plastic pads. The have reinforced stitching everywhere and have reflective tape on the Velcro straps. Rubber strips on the top and bottom of both prevent these from slipping. Super comfortable unlike the strap ones I used to wear, I highly recommend these.

@@meave2712 Dude, thank you for that information. I will have to check them out. Hope they are better than the "carbon fiberish" ones they are selling for $269.00. Appreciate the insight and comment.

Thanks for the honest review. I think a lot of reviewers are more influenced by the affiliate money that they get than giving an honest assessment. I was on the fence about these, I will not be buying these..

I just found some of these on Ali-Express under different branding for like 40 - 50 bucks lol. Also, Alien Rides is selling these under their own brand name but at 210 bucks for the set. I'll probably end up going with Leatt Dual Axis though, appreciate the review man!

just got some too.. i have been re-injuring my one elbow due to fun slides, and a diy cutting out on me, and then a uni hitting me lol. so once these cuts heal up, ima use some. ill be honest, i hate wearing pads. but these seems cool and its kinda necessary.. good stuff brotha
@esk8ooligan2 жыл бұрын
Hey Unity…stop re-injuring yourself man!! Ya, not going to lie, they do look good. My thing is the quality and protection provided for the price. I have to be honest, I’ll take the Triple Eights over the Nobleman in a minute. I like the Nobleman as they have wrap around straps while the Triple Eight, you have to slide your leg and arm through a sleeve. That makes it hard for jeans and long sleeve shirts. BUT, I’ll take the inconvenience over the damage any day. If you order these, I will be interested to hear your thoughts on them. Hey, I have the MadESK8 105s arriving on Monday. Am excited to get and test them. Thanks Dude.

Great video, definitely need to talk to nobleman to do a 2nd generation of these. They changed lots of things in the foo dog kevelar pads so hopefully those things come here too. These got some cool features. I heard people falling at or near 30mph with these and they held up well (except the clear coat lol)

I am glad they were okay. I guess I am going to be a little cautious in wearing as I don't want to take the chance. Knee replacements are pretty expensive...from what I hear. Thanks for the view and comment.

I am 1,000% agreed in the importance of safety gear. I don't care if a person is riding a bicycle, an Esk8, a motorcycle, or any other 'vehicle' that has the rider/driver exposed to the elements...safety gear is a NECESSITY. all the honest. It irritates the heck out of me (and that's a serious understatement) anytime I see someone riding without safety gear, or even a minimal amount of safety gear. Even worse is when, for example, I see someone riding a motorcycle in shorts, t-shirt, and tennis shoes. That just royally pisses me off. I have a saying, "it's the few who give the many a bad name." Like you, I'm a huge proponent on safety gear, no matter what the sports, or activity, is. Please, keep it up...hopefully the "knuckleheads" will learn, preferably sooner, rather than later...preferably before they become "deadheads" (and, in this case, no, that's not a reference to The Grateful Dead).

I have 2 liter-bikes, so in colder wheather i use motorcycle-protected clothing. In summer i use knee and elbow pads (inline skate protection) . I can only use elbow protection on my left, because it is not handy using the controller. As for helmets, i use the Evolve helmet which is pretty basic and not that good. Should upgrade the helmet asap.
@esk8ooligan2 жыл бұрын
What two liter-bikes do you have? I have a Yamaha R1...love that bike. I have used my full leather racing suit when ESK8ing. A little restrictive and stiff, but would protect pretty well if something happens. Ya, make sure you have a solid lid Dude...that is one of the most important pieces. Thanks for the view and comment. Ride hard, carve safe, and have a great day!

Thx for this very interesting review. I think I did the good choice to not buy this equipment when I decided to buy my Leatt dual axis knee guards and my Fox elbow pads. I crashed at 40 km/h and had nothing (I was wearing too a Dainese chest protection). I agree with you: safety gear is essential. I cannot understand people that don't wear some. The day they will crash, they will regret it (if they still can).
