You have to have two X chromosomes to have two different non-white colors, so a male calico is XXY, iirc. Also calicos are just pretty in general.

Tommy's owner said in comments under another video that she and Orange are the neighbour's cat, but the description said "dad cat meets his babies for the first time". Here she is said to be a "wild cat". Looks like Tommy's owner just describes these cats as whatever he feels like in the moment. Tommy is apparently both a "100% feral cat" and "always a indoor house cat".
