Imagine writing such a painfully beautiful song about your recent break up with your girlfriend, and then asking her to sing on the track - only Marlon Williams. Incredible ♥️

if you guys ever get the chance to see Marlon live i really recommend it. I went to a Florence and the Machine concert back in jan of 2019 and Marlon was the supporting act. I had never even heard of his name until that night and boy am i glad i did. He performed while everyone was getting into the venue, settling in, getting food etc but i was just so enthralled i couldn't keep my eyes off the stage. This song stuck with me and i remembered a single lyric for three hours so i could go home and youtube it. His vocals live, wow, just really gets you in a mood and relaxed. also if you haven't seen florence yet i recommend that too, you'll forget your burdens for one night.

This just speaks all about those moments, softened by alcohol when you get home, late or early, fall into bed and cry for those boys that you loved and who you want to send a link to. But you know you’ll only feel embarrassed in the morning when the reply doesn’t come and you know you shouldn’t waste anymore time on your heart. But you’re crying so you do it anyway. And another day begins with your eyes shielded against the sun by your pillow. And 2 paracetamol is the only answer.

Ps, I hear you boys and girls, men and women - or wherever you are and whoever you lie with. It’s the same pain.

Study psychology. Work a labor job for a while and take a long hiatus from dating - about 2 to 5 years off. The feeling of putting your body into your work will take your mind off of most of your dilemmas, but you’ll need to know some psychology to navigate along the way. The truth will set you free. It isn’t easy, but the alternative will be worse. After a night of crying, treat yourself to a hearty breakfast of steak & eggs before going to work. Trust me, taking care of yourself and saving your money for a while is a good way to go.

Now I'm listening to your other songs and suddenly something started going on in my chest, a feeling like I'm listening to the most beautiful songs I've ever heard! They all have a depressive feeling in them, but even so they are true wonders. Where did you get this feeling, these emotions from? Thank you, Marlon for these rare gems. 💕

(Aldous Harding) Isn't it strange, impossible to claim your reward (Marlon Williams) I cannot explain, emotions I can barely afford to contain You're the same, you hide away from anything that turns you on Nobody gets what they want anymore (Aldous Harding) No words only scream, could possibly protect you, you know what it means (Marlon Williams) Two is the charm, a place therein around us and pray and pray (both) And saying the name there is no blame, there is no shame, and even more Nobody gets what they want anymore Nobody gets what they want anymore Again, again I know the shame I've waste it all on someone else's time Nobody gets what they want anymore Nobody gets what they want anymore Nobody gets what they want anymore Nobody gets what they want anymore (Marlon Williams) What am I going to do when you're in trouble And you don't call out for me? What am I going to do when I can see that you've been crying And you don't want no help from me? Baby, I can't separate us out anymore Baby, I can't separate us out anymore
