Car news. Subaru WRX STi and Subaru BRZ tS sales are down. Nobody is buying Subaru.

Another issue is the economy, it's been pretty bad and getting worse since covid. People really can't afford sports cars let alone the premium gas prices right now. Had the chance to buy a used WRX this year but went with a Crosstrek instead for the fuel savings.

The WRX with the cheap black plastic wheel flares were universally criticized. At WBM upon introduction, the best looking new WRXs were those from vendors who painted all the stupid black plastic. Aeroflow Dynamics have introduced painted flares which eliminate the cheap black plastic look. But you'll have to pay $900 and install them yourself. The Pro Drive WRX seen at WBM was excellent with painted plastic. When I got home, I immediately called my Subaru dealer asking if I could buy the Pro Drive WRX. Nope.

Subaru sales in the UK have dropped a long way from their peak in the early 2000s They simply stopped making the car we liked. CVT was never going to cut it in the UK and they stopped importing anything with a manual gearbox quite a while ago. I'll keep my '06 Outback for as long as I can but after that there is zero chance it will be replaced by another Subaru. Manufacturers need to make what we want not try to sell us what we don't. Simple.

Electric cars are getting good and gas prices keep getting higher. Soon it’ll become just a niche car for the snow/mountains.

@@ce2flaco I think its the truth tbh (I own a WRX). What really impressed me was the Hyundei Ioniq 5 N, check that one out. But hey, if Toyota finds a way to make their hydrogen engines work out, I'm all for it.

@@iCrazy414 They're a fad. The 'Only" reason they have managed to get this far is due to massive mandates and government help. For a small segment of the population they work. For everyone else, they're a gimmick.

@@jasond91 funny, but any lawyer worth their fees will be able to tell you in less than a day whether or not you have a case. The fact he hasn't come back and said they've filed paperwork, means there's very little chance he has a case or a lawyer r.n.
