Still think the games building mechanic was so epic. Destroyed buildings getting cover rebuilt, open spaces had trenches to dig, closing off entrances with wire, really added to the environment.

I've literally been the number one BFV fanboy since the beta. I honestly think the beta might have been one of my favorite times in the game. It had a great ttk. I personally loved the animations (I know it's not the best in a fast paced fps game), had the best sounds, I loved the visibility. Made you think twice in pushing an area. Make you take flanks. The destruction was one of the best. Map design was better the Bf1 (though BF1 had better immersion) BFV is still my 2nd favorite BF game after BF3

Good to see more BfV. Try as I might, I just can't get on with Bf 2042. I can actually have fun on BfV on great maps with great movement and gunplay. I can honestly say there's nothing about Bf2042 that I like. Literally nothing. I know BfV was derided in the beginning, mainly because of the brilliance of Bf1 but, at the end it turned into a fantastic game. The Pacific maps and Provence were especially great. It could have been even better with the iconic locations added instead of the support being ended for the car crash that is Bf2042

I've been playing the BF series since BF2 consistently and I struggle to engage with 2042, BFV though has really got it's hooks in me currently. I know this is a really unpopular opinion, but I think battlefield 5 had some of my favorite gameplay in the entire series. Edit: my only real issue with it was some of the customization options as far as the premium characters went. It's pretty immersion breaking when you suddenly see a member of the French Resistance fighting in the Pacific.

If all the battlefield youtubers didn’t have a whinge about the game when it first came out, maybe we would of gotten a better sequel to 5 or it could of became a fully fledged WW2 experience. If they all didn’t jump ship to warzone maybe dice wouldn’t of became disillusioned with their ip. It’s just frustrating because there are so many videos saying ‘ohhhh it was so good bla bla’ but they absolutely tore it to shreds when it came out. Bfv had and still does have great gameplay, it just has box cosmetics. Don’t complain about the problem you made

I've got 1200 hours on BFV and it's an absolutely great game, and holds up well today. A shame DICE abandoned this for 2042, which feels very hollow in comparison to BFV. Luckily the player base in BFV is still active (a few full servers in AUS at least).

BFV was an amazing game. People just didn’t like it because there wasn’t any auto health 😂🤣
