I like Kapenen, whether he gets on the 3rd or 4th line. I find him to be very effective & a great playoff performer.

@@HockeyNationLiveShow I really think a 3rd line of Florian (LW), Kapenen (Center), and Owen Beck (RW) will out perform any 3rd line in NHL. Too much talent. Also, I would love to see Michael Hage (LW), Demidov (RW), and Dach (center) will cause real chaos. Many are not high on Mesar, but I think he is a great player and high end playmaker. Some of the passes he makes is like he has eyes in the back of his head. He just need to hit the gym and fill out a bit. very dynamic and very underrated.

The 3rd line i mention reminds me when Danualt and Gally were playing together.

Will be a great battle between Kapanen and Beck for the 3rd Center position. My guess is eventually both will be on team as 3rd and 4th centers. Win win situation for MTL.

I couldn't agree more. The 3C and 4C are in the system.

Times have changed. Wasn't long ago when any other teams 3rd or 4th line center were good enough to be top 2 in Montreal. Also with Hage in the system. One of them are going to end up traded.

@@r_p_m7330 With respect I disagree. I see Hage as possibly being a 2C if he continues to progress and I see Dach moving to the wing. Concerning Hage, we all know he went through a difficult 1st half of the season due to his Father's unfortunate death. If you look at his 2nd half numbers I think it is fair to assume he would have been every bit as good during the 1st half if not for the tragedy. Therefore, IMO Hage could have gone in the top 12 and he will be a steal for Habs.

In my opinion too many so-called pundits (?) in North America underrate Kapanen. Everyone is rightfully excited about Demidov however other European prospects seem to be overlooked. Now living in Europe I have seen Kapanen play at least 20 times and IMO he is at the very least a 3C. He plays a complete 2-way game and has pedigree like the Tkachuk brothers and Iginla. Volokhin is another player who is underrated and overlooked. He played on the same team as Demidov and tore up the MHL so don't forget about him.

I hope he gets to the NHL but I expect Beck and Hage to stay in front of him as bottom 6 centers. We never know, though. Maybe Kapanen will stay longer in the AHL and become a great call up if the injuries get out of control in Mtl

Maybe Xavier should demand a high contract raise ,having to protect all those slick and players who shy away from the rough hockey

Hello. I'm "Nobody". I've been wondering about Kapanen, he's been about a half a point per game player at Center his last two seasons. - the Habs fans I chatted with blew him off. I was trying to explain his hockey family - Kasperi & Konsta are his cousins! Just letting them know that if they didn't want him, the Bruins could use some good prospect centers that come from solid hockey backgrounds! Another I was chatting with pointed out the fact that he was drafted in the mid-60s, he wasn't a first-round draft pick ! - and I explained that one of the Bruins best centers David krejci was drafted at # 63 and led the Bruins to a Stanley Cup! Good to see him getting some well deserved attention Again, if Habs don't want him - we'll take him off your hands! "Nobody" wishes you all a good day! Lol!

You have to be carefree with euro players because it's bigger ice so you have to see how he is playing if an outside perimeter player or can he play in traffic.What I saw of him last year did not impress me at all he looked very ho hum.If he does consistently go to the net that is a big positive but I did not see that last year.

How much did you watch of him with Kalpa? Do you live in Europe? Do you have access to Liga games?
@charles61802 ай бұрын
@@curtisault2508 I moved to Europe from Canada 31 years ago and have seen Kapanen play approximately 20 times. Kap excelled in the playoffs and at the IIHF which I attended. The person you replied to is generalizing and is clueless regarding Kap's ability. IMO, since Habs are becoming stocked at centre ice position, Kap will battle it out with Beck for 3C.

I dont know, we will see. We have some promising Swedes or Finns in the past who never really contributed to the Habs. This clip is wearing rosy glasses. We will see, I have doubts. Hey, I hope you are right, and I absolutely hope I am wrong.
