Nailed it. Arch is a big kid. 6'4 225. More athletic than Ewers. Faster and more evasive in the pocket. Experience is my only concern. But that will come. Still not much of a drop from Ewers. Hookem

They are the same right now, with ARCH having the higher ceiling
@robh_texАй бұрын
@@SwazeyThaGodthey excel at different things. Ewers has better command of more of the playbook and has slightly quicker hands/release in the RPO game and is deadly in the intermediate windows. Manning has a bigger more durable frame, is more athletic as a ball carrier and has a more natural deep ball.

Texas beat Michigan with a MASTERFUL ball-control strategy, they simply kept getting first downs fairly slowly - if the other team can't ever GET the ball, it's darn hard to score points. But the strategy's revealed and they play some good teams with smart coaches coming up soon. Ball control doesn't work if you get a ways behind... a few quick (or lucky) strikes and your plan goes down the tubes! Last week I saw LSU and USC jacking each other's level of play UP, for a spell there either one of them coulda beat anybody I've seen IF THEY COULD KEEP PLAYING THAT WAY. But that's one of the things I like about college ball - I guess you could call it erraticism. Just about anybody can squeak out a surprising run; or have a real awful day (or month or year!) Remember when Jameis Winston got a hot hand & the Seminoles won the 2013 national championship with 13 seconds left in the Rose Bowl - FSU is 0-3 this year(?) Cam Newton & Joe Burrow did the same at their respective Auburn & LSU, but the SEC is a vicious snakepit - it finally even ate Nick Saban's mind(?)(!)
@LostArkitektАй бұрын
I'm not sure you are making much sense. Ball control? They would have scored more on Michigan if they didn't have the "self-inflicted wounds" that Sark keeps talking about. They took what Michigan gave them...some ball control and at other times, moved a fairly decent clip. I also don't think beating UTSA 56-7 is really a ball controlled offense.
