since you said some of this album's influence comes from 70s-era jean-jacques perrey... i get that vibe the strongest from "waters of nothingness", especially the bass and the whistling sounds.... just the right amount of strangely comforting surreal instrumentation for when you're stranded in the middle of some unknown area
