I just received my order of Corktown today and it's in my beard and it's a winner. I've been using Belle Isle for about a month and it's a winner. So now I'm going to order their Black scent and 313 since Corktown and Belle Isle were winners.

I absolutely love this company. I’ve tried their hand soaps and beard butters. I’ve not tried the oils yet as I just can’t let go of the $ for the amount. By far the best butters in the game. Thanks for the video and sent profile information!!

DGC products are amazing, Black and Corktown are my top 2 scent profiles so far and I agree with you about the 313 scent profile. I still use 313 but it isn’t usually one that I reach for time and time again. Great video Matt! 🙏

Great video, Matt! I haven’t tried a ton of products from Detroit Grooming, but I really enjoy the conditioner and the Leland butter. Leland is an amazing after shower scent like you said! Can’t imagine having a beard without having beard butter, gotta thank Detroit for paving the way!!!

Funny story that will give you a laugh for your day: so, I keep my beard short these days because of good ol’ psoriasis (flakes - ugh) making things aggravating, and beard oil is awesome for the skin, helping to minimize the flakes and redness, but anywho, I told my girlfriend that I was going to order some beard oil from DG Co. and she got visibly angry! Told me that she ordered me some as a surprise for Christmas. I playfully chastised her for not at least using a discount code, to which she told me about this video and using yours. 😂 Cheers, brother! Can’t wait to try out Corktown and Traverse City!

The oils are top notch. One thing I noticed about Detriots butter compared to other companies is the ingredients list. Most companies use thier butters (Shea, mango, kokum) and the beggining or firdt , but detriots butters are literally at the end. Now is that good or bad. Not sure, but does feel good in beard other than being quite shiney.

The further down the list the ingredient is, means less of that particular ingredient is used, I think. But that's weird because the oils used are normally the base of the whole product, so I'm also curious to how that works exactly.

All other brands I try get compared to DGC. No oil residue left in hands after being applied. Wash and conditioner work perfect. Butter same, no residue left in hands. Belle Isle and Corktown are my favorites.

Dude I'm right there with you with the masculine scents. So many companies put vanilla in everything and I usually wont go near it. That sweet scent is sickening. Detroit has quality products and id love to try some more of the scents but I'm hesitant. The black is all ive tried but love it...

Hey Matt, your reviews/videos are hard to get through. If you sum up the total time of all the ads that play throughout your video today, it adds up to more than the total time of your video. I know I can just skip ads, but I like to help out the beard reviewers I subscribe to (would be interesting to know what percentageof your viewers do not skip). So, in order to get through your 14:31 video, it took over 30 minutes. I have shared this with other reviewers as well, but I think you would be better off having just ads before and after your video, instead of also including the 3 times in the middle (with over 5 minutes each time). Obviously I don't speak for everyone, but you would make more money off of my views on a normal day if you eliminated the ads in the middle because I am likely to let ads before and after your content run, but by the second time your content was interrupted with over 5 minutes of ads, I have checked out and moved on.

The beard might be attached to my boyfriend, but I purchase literally everything for it. To date, the Detroit Grooming Co. beard butter is by far, the best product I've purchased for him. The Leland scent is insane. Perfect for spring, and summer, especially summer. The lime note adds a bit of a punch, that hits you similar to a cleaning product, or a sour piece of candy. The mango is very similar to a fruity, mango candle from Bath & Body Works. It's a refreshing beard scent, in the sense that it's not your common cologne, clean/sport, or vanilla tobacco type of scents, that dominant the male market. It's kind of like if Fruit Gushers and lime jello had a baby. It smells delicious, and I highly recommend it. My boyfriend loves it, and the scent has never bothered him, like many others have. It leaves his beard feeling really soft. After you shower, a good combo to use is the Citrus Tonic beard oil by Seven Potions, then the Leland butter right after.
