Create Halftone Pattern with Dynamic Symbol in Illustrator

Hello Guys,
In this tutorial, I will show you a simple trick to create custom halftone patterns.
By using Dynamic Symbol as objects for a pattern we can easily replace it with other symbols, this will make the pattern more customizable.
Hopefully, this tutorial is useful and see you in the next tutorial.

This is a great tutorial and I was able to follow along without any problems, right up to where you select multiple swatches. I do have the random script however, after selecting the colours I want, it then fills with all colours within my swatches. The only solution I could find was to delete all the swatches from my palette and just leave the colours I wanted to use. I may have an updated version of the random script as mine has a few more options than shown in the video. So if anyone is facing a similar issue, this is a work around. Thanks again for a great tutorial.

Really awesome tutorial. I'm trying to work this into my design repertoire. I have one question though: Is there a way to work backwards? As in, if I wanted to change the colors on the finished pattern, what are the steps to that? I primarily use InDesign and I'm trying to understand Illustrator more.

First, your videos are amazing, great and relaxing tutorials. I have a doubt and I can't find the answer, I use a lot the live paint to fill the vectors, but everytime after I used live paint I can't select different color and weight strokes with th option "select the same....", Is it normal to lose that option after live paint? thanks :)

Sorry, just a doubt about the script...it should be installed on the specific folder the tutorial says? I mean, I have a problem with the permissions on the Adobe folders...Also I have no "script" folder..."C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC 2019 (32 Bit)\Cool Extras\es_ES"...

The right location for windows is C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator (version you use)\Preset\en_US (or any language you use)\Script

to select multiple color swatches hold shift or ctrl, the first color you select will apply on your pattern, but it's ok. Random colors only work if you have randomus script, make sure you install the script.

Sometime that happen because the blending space (specified distance) and the size of blending objects. In tutorial I use 55pt distance for 50*50pt reactangle, just play with the number. it will be easier if you use the space (specified step).

You have to use 1500X1500 for this to work fine and accurate.
