They killed those characters off because of budget cuts, guys !!. And Daniel Sharman probably got Lennie James' money. Also, in contradiction with MOVIES, the screenwriters in tv are often writing as they go. Many times because they only got renewal of a new season AFTER the winter hiatus. So they probably found this bump in the road AFTER it got renewed for season 8 in season 7 !!. Lesser episodes, Kim Dickens' return, Daniel Sharman's return etc. There were probably many issues that they had to work around. And don't forget: the actors' strike MIGHT have been an issue as well in bringing those people back. So what did you want them to do !!??. There's only you can do so much in TV.

There are so many matters that are unexplained. we still don't know where the bunch of kids from the plane went, how Madison was saved from stadion, how the hell so many character can die on starvation, how can troy survive, two blows to the head with a hammer and the dam explosion.. a lot of episodes had pointless flaws, illogical behavior and such. but you know what? All those characters were killed off-screen because of budget cuts as well as the fact that they ended Morgan's run with 8A, so anything related to the Morgan era was written out to leave 8B as the closing chapter for Madison and her group.

Rather than killing all those characters off screen, why not have the exact same scenario occur, only when Strand got back they had packed up camp and moved on because they didn't want anything to do with him? He goes looking for them the next day, can't find them, but eventually comes across the community he's now with. Makes more sense than a bunch of people who have been surviving this world for years now just dying while he's off hunting or whatever he said he was doing. Also, how did Troy survive? When Madison hit him with the hammer... twice... hard enough that the safe assumption was that she had killed him right there and then, weren't they somewhere deep in the depths of the damn?... The damn Nick then blew up just moments later?... So not only did Troy survive the hammer blows from Madison, he also somehow survived countless tonnes of damn rubble and water coming down on him?... Whilst still unconscious and bleeding from his cracked skull?... I need an explanation.

Fluent german speaker here. Klaus’ German was serviceable, the side characters and the son’s were good and sounded fairly fluent so maybe they’re German actors but Strand’s? Horrific. Sounds like he is directly speaking from Duolingo. But yes, the subtitles match pretty well

I am not loving the writing at all so far. The dialogue just sucks. You’re supposed to use writing to show not tell but they’re literally just saying everything flat out. There’s no room for interpretation or emotion for the actors to work with. I feel like that would be so frustrating as an actor. Anyways, I definitely think he didn’t actually kill Alicia, but I think he did come across her at some point in order to have the arm.

fear is really getting cheap, the scene of them cooking in the hotel was stolen from season 6, the end is the beginning people😂. I figured out one of the reasons I don't like Fear, the characters completely change from one season to the next, strand was a psycho in a tower last season and he's soft as butter this season, I think the next episode is better with a surprising character showing up, at least for awhile but I'm so glad she finally got what was coming actually. Come to think of it, some characters completely change in one season and I'm not talking about character development, this is like a switch

Don't know how FTWD has lasted so long with the maddening inconsistency of the writers. Even World Beyond was better written. At least, "Dead City" and "Daryl Dixon" have been good.
