Fun Fact: The reason the portals in portal 1 look simpler than the ones in the 2005 development one is because those portals would cause to much lag on the xbox 360 so they had to switch them, and that's how we have the portals we have today.

actually in a sense your right but also wrong. im the guy who originally made that gun. i made it when i was working on destroyed aperture, but had to leave the team because people in the portal community were constantly harassing me over stupid stuff. (not that team in particular, just in general.) when i left the team, one of the agreements made was that whenever they replaced the portalgun with a newer one, if they did, i was allowed to release the old version publicly- and since the new modeler (insanely talented guy btw) released public footage of his version, i was allowed to release my old version as a result. i also reskinned it for my own mod, "Portal:Forever Testing."

1. the 16th portal gun is the original 1950s one that aperture invented....it is the portal gun model that is from another portal 2 mod called portal valhalla...the valhalla portal gun looks like a long pipe connected to a large backpack.....it is more realistic than any other portal gun as taking in the account of tech size .... 2. the 18th one called displacement device is also realistic .....it shoots balls that displace and teleport the player...a good way to visualize realistic wormholes
