So much wildlife. We had Long Horn Sheep right next to the Airstream yesterday. The other night driving through Custer SP we were surrounded by Buffalo.

Cool video. We were just there two weeks ago. Unfortunately I was not able to fly my drone because the wind was gusting for the five days we were there 15-30 mph.

Yea, the drive in from Fruita, CO was really windy. Head winds. We made it to Moab though. -:)

It's open but it's also tight in spots considering there is only one side to pull in. Best to do is just pull in and don't unhook. Check out better spots in the daylight. Very dark there.

Thank you for the reply. I noticed in the video you said there less people when you go left at the fork so I’m thinking I’ll go left and in the morning go back to the higher elevation spot. I appreciate your video!

So if you had to go get more water or do a dump, are there any local resources for this?
@ThisNomadicIdea
@ThisNomadicIdea 2 жыл бұрын
There is a dump station at cedar pass campground. I think they charge $1. Potable water is also available. You should bring something portable to dump and carry water.

@@ThisNomadicIdea yes, I have a portable dump tote and a few 5 gallon Jerry cans. I’m sure I could make 4 to 6 days easy. Looking at this a September. Did I hear you say some days got up into the 90s? The last time I was at the Badlands was in the 1970s with my parents during the summer and temps well above 100. We stopped and did a Chevy Chase at the Grand Canyon (Vacation) look around and back in the car. Did you feel safe leaving the RV to explore around (thieves)?

@@TheRealBiggerAl We were there in September it was really windy also. We left our Airstream and went into town several times. Put a hitch lock on of course but we never even worried about anything being gone. There will be lots of other RVers there.
