Wow, thank you! I try not to make my channel a sales channel, like many others do. I try to base things on what the consumer, might encounter. So when one sees a product, that I bought. I use the term, overview. Now, later, if something sucks, then, I make the item a review.

I have had my trusty JNC660 (similar lead acid battery on your bench) for over 4 years, still works great. Recently got the GBX45. So many packs on Amazon, but this one stands out. USB-C to charge the pack is amazing, not sure how that even works as USB is 5v. Now I use the NOCO first and use the JNC for more of a testing power supply. BTW, I passed my ham general a few weeks ago, got the Icom 7300!

The USB C Port uses Power Delivery protocol. So it can charge up to 20 volts and a few amps, Takes no time to charge. A depleted packs will charge back up in under 30 minutes. Congrats on being a General Class. Nice Rig you have. 73s W2MRG

I used the Type S the other day when i mistakenly left my van on overnight to crack the windows open. Worked right away. Really impressed. I went to get the Noco GBX45 but it is 3x the cost of the Type S Costco. I am wondering why the huge price difference and if it is justified. I just need it for emergencies if my passenger car battery dies. I do appreciate quality and will pay a premium if something is worth it but i don't know what the huge difference is between the NOCO and TYPE S

I say, If it worked in he past, stick with it. There are many good jump packs out there. They are also bad ones.

I have a bunch of these Lithium packs, though none from NOCO. I've seen the name before while searching though. I charge them twice a year, whether they need it or not, every January and July.

Man check them vacuum tubes out..I know a place that has 1000's of them in the attic. All new in the box. The place belonged to a TV repair shop....

One needs to acquire a 65 watt PD Wall Charger. This will charge the fastest. Other than that any USB charger will work, just way slower.

I recommend any Anker 65 watt and above, Also, HyperJuice 66 watt. Cables, Anker Brand, JSAUX, Baseus.

Thank you for great and detailed review with actual meters and check. My noob basic question is: keeping in mind that the marks are over-rated, will this one (GBX45) boost the car with 5.7L gas? Or I should spend more for larger and more powerful device?

Gbx 45 is good to 6.5L gas. If it were me, I would go the next size up.

Just got it.it is the first device I have that is picky of my working fast chargers.switched fast chargers and is now fast charging.not sure why,probably is fine.must be it was an incompatible fast charger.

A 65 watt charger is bare minimum, to trigger the noco. I cover that on the revisiting the noco, it has a quirk, video.

@@RollingTardis oh thanks ,yeah I had to give up on my plug in wall super fast samsung tablet fast charger ( it would only slow charge it).and then I pluged it into my bluetti EB70S portable battery super fast ubs-c power output and that worked great taking 59W on bluetti use readout.glanced at it a minute later and it was fully charged, it was slow charging for a couple of hours before that and had last blinking bar.thanks

12 volts is 12 volts, doest not matter what chemistry the battery is. Just do not hook up to a 6 volt vehicle or a 24 volt vehicle.
