Noctowl / Pidgeot Deck - PTCGO Gameplay (Sword & Shield)

We try out a disruptive Noctowl deck from Sword & Shield in some PTCGO games!
Sword and Shield gives us a very interesting new Noctowl card to experiment with that can wipe out your opponent's entire bench using cards like Triple Acceleration Energy, Lillie's Poke Doll, etc. Then Pidgeot can come in and remove their active from play to win the game. Eric goes over the deck profile for this Noctowl deck, then tries it out on Pokemon TCG Online. Thanks to GlitchXCity for the music.

1. Cyrus (just to make sure you can get back to the track when things go wrong) 2. Pokénav is much better than acro bike in this deck, i think. Acro bike is risky because you need to keep your resources in the deck 3. Hiker to make sure opponent cannot get basic pokemon or searcher/drawer. Bcs most of the time, basically you don't need to play any other supporter.

What is Air Balloon for? A third U-Turn Board should be just fine. Also, this deck has no way of beating Blacephalon because of Ultra Space. However, it would be an auto-win if you replaced the Power Plants with Chaotic Swells. By the way, I found this Japanese deck about a week ago and have been playing it since (among other decks)! It's really fun.

Air balloon is to give goomy/phione a retreating out against absol. And yep Ultra Space is an issue. Swell might be a better stadium here.

The most annoying thing I’ve ever played against especially when I had all my tag teams out, nothing in this deck would have been enough to take them down individually the guy nearly lost because of time out he only won because I ended up with a hand full of energies and just my active Pokémon which he got his Pigeot out to whirlwind back to the hand. I’m not sure if it was smart or cowardice

Chances are, all the cards are trade locked. You either have to use pack codes or win tournaments.

The goal is to just infinitely disrupt their setup, meaning your opponent will run out of resources

Try playing chipchip ice axe so your opponent wont get a basic in the lategame

A bellelba is good in this deck too, u can wipe 3 pokemon out of play in 1 turn, if they have a full bench.

Is it worth considering putting in whimsicott from Sword and Shield? That one colorless attack cotton ride makes the opponent shuffle their active back in their deck .

That seems significantly worse than Pidgeot because it would only be able to evolve off of Ditto and also involves a coin flip. We aren't playing any energy other than Triples anyway so it isn't more efficient either.

I previously made a deck with beheeyem instead of pidgeot. You do increments of damage and then shuffle your opponents pokemon away when they get set up. Nice vid nevertheless.
