I just bought 2 of these but the 140mm version, and 2 t30's. You think ill see a difference in my h5?
@SBlazeable4 ай бұрын
lol, I bought 3 of them because I made the mistake of buying a n400 case and not a n600 or the nzxt 510 like I did in the past and just glueing a 6-8 bay hdd rack in all of the open space it provides because of the closed bottom where the PSU sits hidden away. I actually need 7.xx amounts of static pressure to get air through the hard drive cage, AND past the mess of PSU cables on its way to the mother board where the exhaust fans and side mount fan separate the air out to where it needs to curculate
@medowucha2 жыл бұрын
This fan is not about "noise to cooling" ratio, but about the massive amount of air it can push. So eg. a very space-limited environment, this thing has an air pressure of up to 7.63mm. Think SFF case or some of those odd-sized radiators, with a depth of eg. 60 or 85 mm (Alphacool Monsta), and then its suddenly starting to make sense. On that note: I'm actually preparing an SFF build with a 280 mm radiator, which might require using the 140 mm version, ie. the. NF-A14 IndustrialPPC-2000 PWM, or if push comes to shove, even the 3000 rpm version, which boasts an even more massive amount of air pressue, ie. 10.52mm (and its equally loud, with up to 42 db(A)). cu, w0lf.

Been running these on my CPU for a few years. I really love them. Most people will hate them but noise doesn't bother me if I'm gaming or working on my PC. The extra few degrees of cooling is worthwhile for me. I just make sure they don't spin up too much during normal use.

Had a new build where I used 2 of these on the back of a radiator, and 1 for exhaust. Before changing voltage or setting up PWM, they ran in all of their 3k rpm glory, which sounded like a small server room with dozens of servers. Yes, they're that loud. Fair warning: I would suggest that you DO NOT use PWM with these if you're buying them for the new AM5 7 series AMD cpus unless you're only setting the top end to around 70%. The 7950x temps fluctuate up and down at a very fast rate. My office sounded like a wind storm. This beast is tamed with reasonably acceptable dba at around 8 volts, which ends up being around 2300 RPM. This was the only video so far that I could find which compared this to the Phanteks. I really wanted to hear the 2 side by side at higher RPM. For high overclocking this fan works very well, but you WILL hear them through your closed back headphones. The sweet spot is around 7 to 8 volts (2k-2.3k rpm), and you'll still hear them through open back headphones.
@rbgohome2 ай бұрын
I have four of these on total 480mm radiator cooling a AMD3950X and a RTX2080TI. With normal usage the fans, coupled to CPU temperature, are at 35% and keep the water + 7~10C above ambient temperature. I sleep next to my PC in ambient mode; it's quiet. But when 3D gaming, rendering with Blender, encoding movies, compiling code... it can get noisy and you really hear the wind, the fans sucking in an pushing through the radiator, which is what I want, because the water does not ever come above 15C ambient. I bought these because of the static pressure numbers which is important for radiators.

would be nice if they made a 180mm version for cases like Fractal Designs Torrent or Meshify, eventough 180mm fans would result in 260 CFM ore more PS.: why ? cause 2*180 mm fans would be more efficient in commparison to 3*140mm in the front since the 180s surface area is bigger thus the airintake smoother = less turbulences upfront and better distribution

@STSYT Жыл бұрын
In theory, yes, but practically it will be reeeeeally hard to make them study enough to withstand that speed. There’s a reason why >160mm fans are spinning extremely slow, usually the reason is that they would explode / the outer parts of the wings would just straighten up
