Mavs fan from Germany here. You guys talk a lot about what it means Basketball wise, but this means way more. I feel like my heart got ripped out. I grew up with Dirk obivously and Luka being is heir, also from Europe, was absolutely perfect. This move is intentionally setting the franchise on fire, shitting on everything that has been built there over the last 25 years. Luka was the franchise. I thought about it a lot, and I honestly think that the NBA should look into Nico Harrison and his motives. This has to be collusion, sending a Top 3 player to his buddy Pelinka, while throwing away a world wide fanbase. MFFL is dead, not just for europeans, but for the entire city of Dallas. The owners will get what they want and move the franchise to Las Vegas. Dirks legacy flushed away on a random Saturday night. I'm half French, I'll go root for the Spurs now.

If you were to ask me a few days ago to rank the LEAST likely players to get traded in the NBA, my list would have looked like this: 10 Mitchell 9 Paulo 8 Brunson 7 Ant 6 Giannis 5 Tatum 4 Jokic 3 Shai 2 Wemby 1 Luka. Face of the franchise. Most loved player to their current franchise in the entire league. Mavs attendance no1 in the league becuase of Luka. Arguably the funnest player to watch in the entire league. Mavs JUST went to the finals so things were looking up. Most untouchable player in the entire league.

Considering last year in the NHL, the person doing the us anthem had technical issues and the canadian crowd sang the american anthem for her. It was pretty cool, and touching, and we have always been allies ( unless you go back a couple hundred years) But we as a nation are not for sale, not interested being an American state, but the current president is a compulsive lier who is determined to hurt the biggest trade partner you have. We didn't ask for this trade war and we are not suckers. Sad it has come to this when it didn't need to.

Current Mavs fans are so furious they won’t mind when the Adelson family absconds with the franchise to their home town in Vegas. As part of the deal, they leave the Mavs history-logos, banners, records-behind in Dallas, just like OKC left the Sonics IP in Seattle. Then, the next expansion teams will be Dallas and Seattle, instead of Vegas and Seattle, and the Adelsons end up getting a cut of the huge expansion fees, instead of having to pay it!
