When you said, “this is a soft dough” that is perfect and what you want. Don’t rip through your dough to make it take more flour. The recipe is giving the max amount of flour to add. Before you add the last cup of flour dump the dough on the counter and need in as much of the last cup as you can. You may not get it all in that’s okay. You are adding too much flour and it will make your dough dry and tough.

The steam in the oven helps create the crust on the outside; it mimics the fancy steam ovens in bakeries. You can also just throw some ice cubes on a sheet tray underneath and it works better, and can definitely use a thermometer to check the inside temp of the bread to make sure it's fully cooked. You can find the correct temperatures online :)

Happy Anniversary to Terry and Steve! Congratulations on 36 years...may you both have many, many more to celebrate! The bread looked delicious Craig! In between the rising I would roll it out flat, sprinkle the seeds and oats and then roll up forming a loaf shape to make sure the seeds and oats are evenly distributed throughout. Funny thing...you had an ad for freeze dried raw meat dog food at the beginning of the video. Great bread reviews by Steve, Terry, Max and Sam! 😊

good job craig! you can mix the nuts/seeds in with your liquid and then add the flour, that way you'll have seeds all through it. i have mixed chopped garlic and nuts and seeds like (caraway, kalonji, cumin or whatever flavorful spice seeds you're feeling like and/or flax, chia, sunflower, etc.), chopped nuts and/or dried fruit.

What if you rolled the bread out a little and then sprinkled the seeds on then roll it back up like a cinnamon roll, wouldn't the seeds be inside? All I can think about is eating bread now:) Looking forward to Friday:)

Try putting the seeds in before the 1st kneading. It's hard to mix in evenly on the 2nd kneading bc of the flour. I find it lets the seeds even out. The bread looks awesome tho. Great video. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and healthy..

the price for that yeast is correct. That is a lot of yeast, when I used to bake for a family of 8 I used that yeast all the time. To keep it from going bad you put it in a jar and keep the majority of the pkg. in the freezer and keep a small jar in the fridge. love your video

Great video, I have a little suggestion, if you tap the top of the bread it should sound hollow that’s how you can check it see if it’s done, and I think with two breads in the oven at the same time it does take a bit longer. Keep up the great baking! And recipes always gives you the total amount of flour, so make sure you save the last cup for adding when you kneed.

I think you’re supposed to spoon the flour into the measuring cup and level it off, if you scoop it from the bag, or container it’s getting packed down and will most likely be too much. That’s why a lot of bakers weigh their ingredients.

I know you wrote this a month ago or found it but I tried to make bread and went to all the stores in town and everybody was out of yeast because I think everybody in town was making bread. So I went to the store and found a jar are used in a couple packets and I bought them all and now looking forward to making some bread or cinnamon rolls.

What time you thinking for workout? Also my understanding for fridge is a slow rise which helps build more flavour, slows yeast down a little to prevent over-proofing.
