Merle Haggard developed the Haggard sound to perfection. Anything else is a partial version of that sound. Even if they reach the pinnacle of their abilities,the fact is Merle did it first so he gets the credit for creating and perfecting it. Children of famous artists rarely "if ever," reach the same level of fame of the parent who did the original sound. These kids are incredible however and I hope they will continue their work. I will pay to see any or all of them if I get the chance.

Ray Mackin, a new generation of people came in & demanded a different sound for country music, that's what i believe happen. We are now considered "the older generation" like if we are half- dead". Ha!ha! I am a lover of the old & some new country music. So i guess the producers has to satisfy their fans. I still prefer real country music 🎶🎵
