People laughed but he is being proven right by studies nowadays, for example a link has been found between Fibromyalgia and childhood trauma affecting the immune system. He isn't saying everyone with cancer is negative, he is saying negative energy CAN be a trigger in some cases. Negative energy could also be caused by Trauma, Stress, not just a persons outlook on life, it's just easy to mis-quote Noel and make him look like the bad guy.
