Noel Gallagher's first post-Oasis career performance for a special cause close to his heart, the Teenage Cancer Trust. He is joined on stage by Gem Archer and Terry Kirkbride once again and Wired Strings and The Crouch End Festival Chorus on selected songs. Recorded by Petrock2000, this is a matrix of an IEM and audience recordings. The quality is fantastic. There is only a couple of setlist changes from Noel's previous semi-acoustic shows in 2007. Out goes the covers and in come Rockin' Chair and Digsy's Dinner and they really make the show. Thanks to Bluemagpie for the mp3.

@@DDMCPHEE mine would be Slide away Let's all make believe Cast no shadow Flashbax Live forever, But it's pretty much an impossible task to do I could make a top 20 and it would change but the top 5 are pretty much how I feel all the time with slide away it's all about how it makes me feel just me headphones on blasting it out and it still gives me the chills after all these years I put let's all make believe cos of the emotional punch it gives wich is purely down to Liam's singing and I proved that to myself as I don't get the punch hearing the Noel sung demo of it wich is wat makes Noel n Liam's working relationship so fucked up obviously Liam dident write the words to it but he puts so much emotion into let's all make believe u would think hes singing to his dieing missis or unborn child same with slide away , and cast no shadow wich I included as it still gives me that butterfly's in my tummy feeling and transports me back to the time I had my first bird and everything was new and exciting , I added flashbax cos its from a single (all around the world) wich I bought just for the b sides and I wasent disappointed there was the fame wich is brilliant just a shame Liam dident get to sing those lyrics May I laugh while u sit there sipping your champagne And may I laugh at your despair while your sniffing your cocain I'm a man of choice in a old rolls Royce And I'm howling at the moon Is my happening to deafening for you It maybe the fame Forgotten your name ect. That would of been hectic but the bunch of singles from BHN all had mega b sides I mean it was a toss up between du know wat I mean b side stay young but I wanted a Noel sung tune n yeah people are gonna say FFS!!! Half the world away , the mastetplan, talk tonight, sad song, but this song has one of the best Bridges ever it reminds me of stone roses ten story love song and not cos he pinched the chords or melody but because the song has one amazing catchy melody after another some bands would of made 3 songs out of it instead u got a super catchy verse then a fuckin quality bridge followed by a super catchy chorus I haven't a clue why Noel left it of BHN but finding it as a b side was more fun and it's a song I come back to more than all the obvious ones I simply fookin love it , same with the stand by me single I got (the fever) and my sister lover wich are the only songs that were recorded after BHN was released , I know noel dislikes them but I love them especially I got (the fever) , I could talk oasis and indie genras britpop , baggy, shoegaze, post punk , c86 twee jangle pop, big beat all bloody day love music ✌️

Ok, so this gig was never officially recorded/released, right?? I used to get so confused, because the 2007 gig was ALSO for Teenage Cancer Trust, and was ALSO at the Royal Albert Hall, featuring Gem Archer, and much of the same set list, so for a long time I thought they were one and the same show. In fact, this song, "Rockin Chair", is one of the only tracks that A. Helps me to differentiate between the two concerts, and B. To known for sure that the later 2010 concert did, in fact, exist lol. Wish this was available in the excellent quality of thr earlier one! Still great though
