I casually heard this song first played by some wannabe band in my high school. It really stood out. i genuinely thought , "wow ... what a great song". To Tihana and anyone wondering what that chord is that Noel plays at "Take that look from off your face", it is some form of a G# (or Ab) Diminished chord. The way I play that chord (which sounds pretty good to me) is E-X B-3(D) G-4(B) D-3(F) A-X E-4(G#) If you don't want to play that chord an E7 chord. Even a normal "E" sounds acceptable. An E7 is E-0(E) B-0(B) G-1(G#) D-0(D) A-2(B) E-0(E)

Nice work, but I'd say if you're playing an E or E7 you should at least try to use the bottom E string to play a G# (fourth fret) if you can reach it so you get the rising chromatic bass line. Gives the progression its satisfying build and is a big part of the bridge. E-0(E) B-0(B) G-1(G#) D-0(D) A-2(B) E-4(G#)

Nathaniel Norris I don't see how that's the chord he plays because to play that you need your 3rd finger on the 6th string and Noel's 3rd finger is nowhere near it. He seems to just move the G shape up a could of frets with a slight alteration.
