Liszt´s last Etude d´èxecution Transcendente is inspired on an snow tempest, according to his own words to his pupils. It´s played mostly brlliantly. A snow tempest is gray blue in the day and has some thing menacing and bleak. In the dark it turns obscure and forms wind wrils in the air. The magnificence of this Etude is that kind of difficulty to create such an atmosphere of mistery and to master it´s technical diffiulties. This rrecording is the last piece fo a large recital where from I have posted all the works here in. Despite of a false tone played just at the beginning and that the piano was not good tuned for the day as the microphnes were bad ones (one can remark it on the publics applause, what sounds distant) I was happy with the result as interpretation I managed to master it as an idea of the whole. It was some day in july 1992, I guess.
