when people experience such a great sadness, suffering, regret, and fall into it, then sealed deep in the abyss of despair. At this stage, the person needs someone else to pull that person out of the abyss. Like Fu Hua preventing Kiana's unwanted actions, and Himeko being the motivation/reason for Kiana to live and fight.
