They did say they will never forget. There is even references in the 5th gen area in MC. Lamy has even said Aloe helped with her audio hardware and some of the settings.

@@drisbain yeah in the Gen 5 house they originally gave Aloe her own room which they decorated in her colours but then they removed it and just put in some references instead. Can't remember why they removed her room though.

@@blackknightz5036 Aloe was a Hololive members that retired 2 weeks after her debut. Before debuting she used an account on Twitcasting to test her 2D model with the consent of the management. After debut she forgets to delete it so it's technically a leak data, so she was suspended for 2 weeks. This was only 2 days after her debut. Aloe apologized for her mistake and promised to pay more attention in the future. This is justified on the management part and Aloe also take responsibility for it, and thing supposed to calm down for her after that. But then during her suspension, people start to harass her and her family by calling their phone and stuff. Even an ex-boyfriend was getting harassed. The stress was harming her physically and mentally, so before the suspension even ended, she announced her retirement. That's the story. Those people suck.

One thing that I love about all these reactions is that the "Coming Soon" Gacha is so easily identifiable as Gamers just from their silhouettes, which is a *huge* testament to the artist(s) for this game. The four different animal ears make them easily recognizable, even as chibi pixel art silhouettes. In contrast, 5th Gen has some of my favorite designs of all of JP, but all of them having long straight hair would make chibi pixel art silhouettes a bit harder to read than the Gamers crew. While it might be weird to not go in order (starting at Gen 0) or reverse-order (starting with HoloX) or introducing ID (since there are no other ID references in the game so far), choosing Gamers as the first post-launch implementation and using their iconic silhouettes to draw excitement and anticipation is actually the best "first" addition they could have gone with. Side note that not going with Gen 3, 4, or 5 (even though those also have very strong silhouettes) might be another good move on the dev's part since it doesn't force them to decide immediately whether or not to include graduated members as playable characters. While having items paying homage to all 3 with a wink and a nudge is one thing, having them as playable characters directly calling them out is another. For example, if they had gone with Gen 3 (Pekora having possibly the strongest solo silhouette in all of Hololive), they would have had to either make the "coming soon" image with 4 or 5 characters and immediately declare their intent on this front. By going with a gen without graduates, they are able to delay this decision, test the waters, and possibly engage in discussions with COVER about their inclusion or exclusion. I mention this because as we get more of these Holomem reactions, more and more of them are acknowledging the headphones item as Aloe Mano's.

@@ThelastArchdemon47 It doesn't say "Gamers" in the Gacha screen, just shows question marks and states "Coming Soon." The only place it specifically stated Gamers was in the character selection screen under the lock and chains indicating that they can't be played yet. It also shows JP Gen 0 on that screen. Even if we take into account that it does state Gamers on the character selection screen, that doesn't discredit the creators of the game character sprites for being able to make it easily identifiable as to which character is which even when they are silhouetted. TL;DR your comment can be taken as rude, the design of the Gamer's sprites were still done really well.

Imo the best option after Gamers is to pick and choose specific holomems from different gens, based on which ones would be most unique in abilities and weapon etc. and which don't yet have references in game. Grab Pekora with a rocket launcher, Lui with a whip, Roboco with a laser beam etc. It would also be "fair" to the later gens that they didn't have to wait so long

Tbh Graduated members are unlikely to make an appearance as Playable, only exception possible being Coco due to status despite Graduation. Rushia Broke her Contract's NDA and got terminated due to it, so she's a Nono no matter what. Aloe is another Sore spot for Hololive, so best case is the Headphones stay.

I'm really happy when Botan, Kanata, Miko, and Noel can still identify the member references from the Headphone owner. Of the many members of HoloLive who have played the game, it turns out that there are only four members who can still recognize the reference. While most of them don't even know the member reference of the Headphone item and only consider it as one of the original items from the game. It actually made me very sad. 😢 😭

We have to remember that this is a fan game, made by fans for fans. Hololive is okay with it being made, but at the end of the day don't really have control over it. So, it might be a very real posibility that the finished game will have Rushia, Aloe and Coco as playable characters. We will have to wait until the later gens get added, but still, it might happen.
