it’s been about a month ever since youtube started recommending me your videos, and about four days ago i decided that maybe it meant something and ive been binging all your content ever since lmao i’ve heard nothing but amazing things about writers & lovers, apparently its one of those books that manages to talk about a main character that writes and reads without coming off as cheesy and its good to know you’ve enjoyed it! we have pretty different taste in terms of genres we like to read but its still so entertaining to watch your videos, love this content x

If you haven’t already, I recommend reading the most recent book “If it Bleeds.” It is a short story collection but the title story brings in several of Kings characters from other books which I found very interesting. So it was a really easy way to wrap up some characters that left us wanting for more..but without having to write a whole new novel. Another thing you might want to think about is King readers who do NOT want sequels or follow ups. For example, myself lol. I hated the idea of Dr. Sleep when it came along because so many years ago I kind of came to my own conclusion about what I thought (or maybe wanted 🤷🏼‍♀️) to happen after the original story. But being a King addict I , of course, was compelled to read the book then I was pouty LOL. PS-“On Writing” was such an undervalued memoir IMO. PPS- your hair is amazing.

what helps me when struggling to write is making a Pecha Kucha it’s a storytelling format where a presenter shows 20 slides for 20 seconds of commentary each. I find it helps to ground me at the start of writing things and is quite fun to do alone.

I have read both On Writing by Stephen King and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn as audiobooks. I almost DNF'd Gone Girl, because I just couldn't get into the physical book, but the narrator of the audiobook breathed life into the story for me. It was a five-star read for me, despite the fact that I didn't love any of the characters. The story was good, but I doubt I will ever reread it. I loved On Writing, and the part that got me was when he had his car accident and the time it took for him to recover. My sister and I nearly cried while listening to that part of the book. I have seen the movie Misery, which I loved. I have heard how the book ends and I'm not sure I am going to ever read it because I don't really like Horror anymore. This is funny because I used to enjoy watching all kinds of horror movies and reading horror books when I was younger. Maybe I'll give horror another go, especially since I am becoming intrigued about thrillers.

I don't think you intended to give it as a essay writing tip but to actually write it out as an non academic piece to then edit to be that might be super helpful. its writing academically that I struggle with so this might help me to understand what I want to say and then how to say it smartly. thanks, I'm going to try that in future :)
