Craig is my favorite guitarist from thrash! Criminally underrated, proof talent doesn’t always pan out in the music business world. If you’re the best basketball player on the court everyone loses their shit, the best guitarist on stage gets their shit unplugged. The paradigm of the music business “don’t make no sense”. I just saw Death Angel, Exodus and Testament in Sacramento. Craig was there in the crowd wearing that same hat. Before the show I was standing near Walter, I kind of fanboyed Craig, "Yeah Craig, Forbidden!!" He gave me a fist bump.

Vio-lence was Phil’s baby…he wrote the whole debut album. Robb was probably the red headed step child guitarist.

@@kevinleonard2368 With further review Rob, Sean and Phil all have writing credit. Phil probably mostly but Rob had is hand in it. I just think it would be cool for machine head to play a thrash medley. Play his violence and Forbidden Evil songs.

I will always love Forbidden Evil, but Twisted into Form is so fucking good. It just took that next step. Granted, some of the early material was so sick. Thrash royalty IMO. I was all about everything bay area when I was a teen. I fucking loved Sacrilege BC. Still have a copy of Too Cool to Pray on Vinyl.

Hey Robb I am a massive machine head fan for 20 years. This is real random but.. I love you're podcast. Tonight I started a recorded chat between my father and I who is getting on in years and prob won't be around much longer. I can't remember which interview it was but its because of the NFG podcast that I got this idea. Anyways, thankyou so much. My old man ( father) is all into this idea and I cannot wait for the next night of beers and recorded chats. Best thing is I can sit back, learn about my father's history whilst we are both having a drink and have it on tape, forever for all my future decendents. Hey M86, I did the same thing before my dad died from cancer. Be sure to save them to a usb from your phone or device. My phone died and the videos can’t be retrieved. I really enjoy hearing the younger days of Forbidden (Evil) and Fremont, Cali. I really liked what little I heard from The Boneless Ones and got into Dress the Dead and Forbidden a few years back. Hahaaaaa, I bought a couple of crappy Crate 4x12s from this guy who used to play in Torch. He held me for two hours talking about how he could run on the walls while playing leads, and that he could also to a dropkick backflip while playing leads. By the look on his wifes face, I'd say she had heard that story quite a few times.

Then not much Later Chuck shows up with Death metal, like holy crap, Bay area was WILD. It makes me wonder what the stage changes would be like with Megadeth, Exodus, and Metallica, since Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica, and Kirk left Exodus to play with Metallica when Mustaine was kicked out. Like those 3 bands just trying to front the genre, all playing on the same stage back to back, that's fucking wild.
