I must confess that I didn't get to the end of it. The last goddess I remember was Athena (Minerva). I remember this because the figure portrayed in the Medal of Honor for all branches belongs to Minerva. That's one of the many ways in which the military resembles the Roman Legions. After that, the ASMR did its thing, and I was gone. But you did wonderful with the gods and goddesses you portrayed until then.

In the middle of the video so maybe you figure this out, but I think you might be getting Medusa confused with Circe? Odysseus lands on Circe’s island in the Odyssey. She originally turns all his men into pigs but then her and Odysseus actually fall in love and have a child (even though Odysseus is married). I used to teach the Odyssey and have read it too many times. As well if you like Mythology (especially if you liked the Odyssey) I recommend the book Circe by Madeline Miller! It’s all about Circe and tells part of Odysseus story from her perspective. It’s really good!
@NofrillsasmrАй бұрын
I think I started to figure it out, but not nearly what you just explained. I completely forgot the pig part! It’s been a lot of years and I was not the best student, so it’s no surprise I was getting it messed up!😂 Thank you for the explanation.💐

Christianity did not take beliefs from Rome, it is not a syncretic religion. Christianity is the fullness of truth, many truths of which were found in pagan religions of the past. The understanding of Hades was "replaced" by the Christian doctrines regarding it, and so on. This is why we refer to Christ's descent into Hell after his crucifixion the "Harrowing of Hades." The understandings are different, but reminiscent, since Romans and Greeks were most familiar with these.
