@@fitycalibre7555 yes, I do disagree. NATO has don’t nothing other than expanding US single polar hegemony, under the guise of protecting Europe.

@@Finalaproach 100% disagree. NATO has been the most successful alliance in history. I don’t think you realize, that hegemony you are talking about is exactly what protected Europe. There wasn’t any “guise” or misdirection. And I think that insinuating that defunding Europe from the Warsaw pact and the Soviet Union wasn’t necessary is disingenuous. European countries aren’t forced to join NATO, they’ve seen the benefit it brings. Just ask the Baltic countries, or Finland or Sweden. There is a reason that no NATO country has ever been directly attacked, it’s because they know the strength of the alliance. If it was just a guise the US wouldn’t be as serious as it is about staying in NATO. I also think you don’t see that benefits of said western hegemony. There is a reason that the USD is still the global standard. And why the U.S. economy is so successful. It’s because we’ve built an alliance structure that directly benefits us and all of our Allies. The U.S. Navy directly keeps shipping lanes all over the world open, which in turn keeps economies going and prices down.

Btw Finland has no "fear" of Russia. They can come try ;). Almost 90% of Finnish people say they are ready to defend Finland if Russia attacks (highest % in Europe). Combine that with a leading European army and the backing of NATO and our very close ally United States (dont worry we pay our fair share).

@@KYLEAD13 Good thing you only need to look at history, we have managed very well under fire too :). Defeated the reds that were backed by Russia in our civil war. Defended successfully in WW2 against the soviet army that was 10 times the size of our army. Not even taking into account the fact Russia's army is full of amateurs... cant even invade Ukraine that has an army in the stone age compared to Finland... Plus this is the first time in history were we have the backing of the American Military-industrial complex, you guys make some good weapons😅

In regards to the Warsaw pact. I think it’s important to remember that NATO is a voluntary alliance. Whereas the Warsaw pact wasn’t. Since they were all puppets of the Soviet Union, they didn’t have a choice in their membership.

Trump never yields to Putin. NATO broke a lot of promises to Russia . He just got elected with a huge mandate . Lists of changes coming & hopefully EU will follow in regards to the invasion of migrants
