Great video! I love hearing perspectives on CoS characters. One of my regrets from when I've run CoS is that I didn't put more thought into the castle and its inhabitants. Quick corrections on Rahadin: he is not Strahd's brother. And if Helga is irredeemable, I definitely would NOT make Rahadin redeemable. He's way worse than Helga. Players love to hate Rahadin, anyway. Having said that, if someone wants to make Rahadin redeemable, I think he should talk about the screams of his victims haunting him relentlessly.

I’m running the campaign now and the party met Helga immediately after the dinner invite. At first they thought she was a human servant but eventually figured out that something is wrong. She has continued to play innocent but a player saw she has no reflection. Currently, they are convinced that she has been bitten but doesn’t know she has been turned yet.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention Petrina, the banshee in the crypt. As a sister of Kasimir, there could be a strong reason for the party to try to find her. She is supposed to be a powerful spell caster and if returned to life by her brother using a dark gift, she could in turn try to usurp Strahd (or join him). It would be an incredible twist.
