Punk has always been a genre with a lot of political content, it's not that weird that two left-leaning bands would be thinking/writing about similar things, especially in the late 90s/early 2000s. Green Day didn't steal any riffs or lyrics, anyway. The two bands have totally different sounds.

In case there is an question about where this band is on the political spectrum and who their fan base are ....the day after Trump was elected the official video for this song got millions of hits.... it was like a 15 year old song at the time.

The end of the song where they repeat ( I do not like repeating stuff too much myself ) , the intensity and pace goes up , so it makes for a short explosion in the pit. This band live with a good crowd like Montreal is totally crazy.
