I just realized I've been doing it right all along. Only problem was that I was too scared to bump up the dynatopo resolution to something greater than 20. Thank you so much for this tutorial! It was really an eye opener for me.

i am downloading a 130 GB game, and in that time, i have learned how to make a proper good looking head and i created my first full character sculpt (i did not do clothing). i used the riggify addon's human rig as a reference for the body's proportion and blocked the character out and then sculpted it. it turned out very decent maybe because i am good at drawing irl, the eyes looked stupid so i watched this tutorial and it helped out a ton, Thanks. oh and also the game has still not downloaded, its been over a week now (it went from a 90GB out of 113GB to 91GB out of 193.2GB)

Never seen the film, but I've seen a making of. It said the only way to watch the film is to watch the ~4h version. And it said that it was really awkward cosplaying in german military uniforms in - I forgot if it was france or the netherlands - in the late 1970s. There were still a lot of people who suffered from the nazis in the area and they watched while the film was shot. And some were complaining aswell or were like "go home germans" to say it nice. AND some water scenes were ought to be quite dagerous aswell. Especially the one with man over board. They were luky nothing happened.

Bruh this is an awesome tutorial; definitely will be my go to channel for blender sculpting now. Question: As I'm following along my head model still looks blocky and not as smooth as yours when you made the eye sockets. Whenever I try to smooth it cuts away at the clay strips I added on. Any suggestions?
@Noggi_3D2 жыл бұрын
Check if your Dyntopo settings match with the ones in the video. Do you mean by smoothing you lose the shape that you've just created with the clay strips brush? The smooth brush can be pretty strong. I like to tap the smooth brush instead of wiping with it. This way I have more control over which areas get smoothed and which stay sharp. :)

At 5:54, does the cheekbone have to be the exact same shape or could it be slightly smaller and rounder? And at 6:40, you added the strips under the cheekbone. What was the brush settings for that?
@Noggi_3D2 жыл бұрын
The cheekbone can vary in it's shape. I mainly use the clay strips brush with a strength of around 0.7 on average.

Great tut, but isn't a 5 eyes for width of head and 7 for height?
@Noggi_3D2 жыл бұрын
5 eyes for the visible part of the eye (inner corner to outer corner, including the tearduct) I did it like you said before, and it always felt off. When I looked more into it and switched to 6,5 - 7 eyeballs, it immediately looked better. But that's my opinion, of course. :)
@wgnct27182 жыл бұрын
I think 5 horizontal eyeballs including the ears is the overall width of the face. In addition, the width of the skull is maybe near in the middle of the first and last eyeballs in the five horizontal line eyeballs. For some reason it can be weird at first but adjusting the focal length of the camera will do the magic.

Most sources I've seen say the head is 5 eyes wide. That seems really different.... and yet I have no idea which is correct Edit: Aha I figured it out. The eyeBALL goes in the head 6-7 times. The eyeHOLE (including the tearduct/corners) goes in the head closer to 5 times.
