I think we should take the scriptures seriously on this point. If the bible says "the first day", it is logical to assume that it wasn't the 10 billianth day but actually the first day. My "brackets" aren't so super imposed into my bible. Time, space, and matter had to come into play simultaneously as one cant exist without the others. As for Satan needing a few hours to fall from heaven after his creation on day six, I don't see why you can't fit that in after Gen 2:7 and 8 as we aren't told of logical progression of specific days from this point.

This is also the first mention principle of how God restores all things (us included). The Holy Spirit hovers (convicts us), God speaks (calls us), light comes forth (Jesus the Christ) and we are separated from darkness, multiplication (of our faith) occurs, then fruit (of the Spirit in our lives). Look at the restoration of the Earth following the flood, Israel will be restored in the same way.

That begins the first day of the creation of man and our Earth. 2 Peter 3:5-10 talk about the Original flood before Noah.

Not convinced myself. Genesis 1 v 1 is not stating, in my view, that the earth was already created before this formless mass appears. It is just a summary statement of what the text following it relates to. It tells us what is going on and when it happens. The whole theory is eisegesis as I see it. It seems that dispensationalists have a leaning or predisposition to such things.

Read Jeremiah 4:23, through 4:26, here God is referencing Genesis 1, and he goes on to say that the world that once was was destroyed by his fierce anger.

@@gskessingerable Jeremiah 4: 22-26 is not talking about earth in the past, it’s talking about The tribulation period before the 2nd coming of Christ. Go back and read Jeremiah chapter 3, it’s talking about Christ return. Chapter 4 is talking about all judgments, plagues and disasters during the tribulation. The fact that you posted this comment with so much confidence is concerning, as you are distorting scripture. Respectfully

Even people who claim a young earth, seem to agree that Satan fell from grace before the 7 days, yet God said he cast Satan down to the earth. I would love for a young earth person to explain this scripture.

The Hebrew literary construction allows no such theory. It is not a sequential statement between the 1st 2 sentences. Look at Hebrew grammar. That is what really what shoves the gap theory off the table.

@BRIHOECK7 Michael explains this in his booklet, "The Gap Fact". The fact that the Bible used both "created" and "made" concerning Adam does not mean the words are interchangable. Quote: "God CREATED man in his own image (Gen. 1:27). The soul of Adam did not come from previously existing material, so he was created out of nothing. His body was MADE from the soil.

Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Genesis 1:31: And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Why would the Bible say that satan falling is very good? Satan had to fall after creation was finished because god would not call evil good.

It’s nothing in the Old Testament that indicates a Gap between Genesis 1 & 2. Gap theory is just a theory and can’t be proved using scripture

Not sure about the Angels being called "Sons of God" in Job. Heb 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? I have gone back and forth over this for a long time. The writer in Hebrews is making the point that God doesn't call Angels Sons, not at any time!

I think it's quite clear that God and His angels are outside of time; thus it is hard to claim in a gap theory of any kind, because some of God's creation had no real "timeline" to begin with.

I have a confession... growing up under the 50 and 60's style of parenting, I understood authority. I fully believed parents had the legal right to kill you if they wished, due to some severe indiscretion on my part. When reading the Genesis account of how Eve was created, I assumed that from then on, all men had one less rib than women. I thought my assumption to be fact, until my first year of nursing school during anatomy class, when I stated that the skeleton we were using to name the bones of the body must have been a female cus she had all her ribs 😂 Yes, soon after I grew to be less gullible and learned to keep my mouth shut ... lol

Also I may add, it says that God stretched out the heavens with a span, as it says in 1tim 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. So how can angels have been with God before the creation of the heavens, earth, and the seas, when God is light, invisible, a spirit. This is just my understanding, and I do have the holy ghost. But there's really no scriptures to back it up ( that is when the angels were created and the gap theory, or the gap fact.

First teaching I’ve seen on this channel that is dead wrong . God created the heaven and the earth in the beginning not before the beginning , the fact that He didn’t say He made the earth on day one makes no difference at all , He didn’t say He made it before the first day , and since we’re talking about earths time and not Gods ( God always was ) then whenever He made earth would have been the first day , He said He created the earth for man , so what was on earth before ? The words made and created are used interchangeably throughout the Bible so that argument is out . It says He created everything in six days , the angels are created beings so are part of everything , it doesn’t say what day they were created , but it does say they were created to be ministering beings for man , so why would they have been created long before ? The Word tells us that Lucifer lived in the garden of eden until iniquity was found in him , Lucifer could have gone bad inside of months or years and Adam could have been in the garden for a hundred years , we don’t know when he ate the fruit only that he did . Adam was 130 when Seth was born and we know that was outside the garden , other than that you only need long enough for Cain to kill Able....the earth and man were created about six thousand years ago during the six days of creation .

Nobody ever mentions Matthew 24:21 where Jesus makes direct reference to the destruction of Genesis 1:2 "such as was not since the beginning of the world" describing the level of destruction during the second coming, a universal event. Noah's flood was a global event. Dr Ruckman points out that the first 37 verses of Genesis all begin with the word "And" meaning they happened concurrently and consecutively and in chronological order. Indeed, God created the Earth to be inhabited and the sons of God did inhabit it in Genesis 1:1, that is when Satan fell. Genesis 1:2 describes the level of destruction (universal). Our "cycle" on the Earth is roughly 6000 years with the millennial reign another 1000 years for a total of 7000 years. Estimates are that the earth is somewhere between 6-10 thousand years old. That additional time gap, whatever it is, is between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. Also, if you look at what God said to Noah, it matches what He said to Adam, and that is to "replenish" the earth indicating there were some sort of people there before Adam. Sons of God?? Revelation describes in pretty good detail what the destruction will be like and I am glad that we Christians won't be here for it. A definite universal event. God says what he means and means what He said and if he told both of them to replenish the Earth, He said it for a reason.

Genesis 1: 1-5 ~ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. God created the "heaven and the earth" along with "light" on the first day. Why do you assume only light was created on the first day? (In response to time stamp 5:12) You also spoke of "made" and "created" as being different. When God created the heaven and the earth, by default He naturally made all the elements. So then God "made" the rest of creation out of the previously created components. That is why there is a difference in words. Not because there had to be a time gap.

I find it hard to accept a gap theory/fact, because it says that God created the heavens, the earth, and the seas , and everything in it. So what's in the heavens? Is not God's throne in paradise ( the third Heaven)? The 4 beasts, wasn't our lord Jesus christ in the midst of the throne, the 24 elders, the angels. I believe the angels were created before man, but I don't believe that the angels were with God before God created the heavens ( heavens) But only God knows, and to whom he will reveal it too. fossils prove that something died, not necessarily how long ago they died. I would point you to Lee Strobels book The Case for the Creator where he speaks on Carbon 14 dating discrepancies and assumptions, as well as the Helium diffusion method of dating, which seems to be more accurate. Evolution assumes that overtime, organisms download new genetic material through random mutation, however, at the end of the day, a dog cannot turn into a tuna or a banana. The cambrian explosion is a problem for evolutionists as well, look it up. you won't be disappointed :)

There's a huge difference between macro evolution = one kind of animal changing into another and micro evolution which we believe= variations with in the kind. Macro/ Darwins hypothesis is the foundation for racism, which "race" is the furthest evolved. Darwins original title of his book is Charles Darwin's book On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life.

We do not know how long Adam and Eve were in the Garden before Satan came and tempted them. We only know that it happened after he was created and before they had Cain. Anything else is speculation. As to Satan, he is not bound to time as mankind is. God's realm, and presumably the angel's, is out side of time. A lot can happen inside of Eternity. Simply, the argument of Adam's fall and the time frame involved does not necessitate a Gap. It is true that God created everything in verses one and two. But these were all created without form and void. Then over a six day period God took of the substance (elements) and made all that is in Heaven and Earth. It's as if He created a lump of gooey clay and then shaped it over a six day period into what He wanted.

Hi Michael. Appreciate your teachings. However, you fall short by believing that "Lucifer" was in heaven and in the garden of Eden. Lucifer was never in heaven itself. Lucifer was a man. He was NOT an Angel. Lucifer was a man as Isaiah says he was. Hence, Satan, Lucifer and the anointed cherub in the book of Ezekiel are 3 distinct individuals. They are definitely NOT the same people or creations. Lucifer was a man that filed with an iron fist as a terrible dictator somewhere or at some point in time in the first earth age or the age before Adam. I do not doubly that the 3 were contemporaries perhaps. On balance, Lucifer fell from heaven because he attempted to assess up to heaven where God's throne is and dethrone Him and in his attempt he Lucifer (the man) fell down from heaven in which he tried to get up into but was not able.
