I love our Lord Jesus and I believe he died on the cross for our sins. But I have a question about Hell that still confuses me..... what's the point of keeping all those tortured souls for eternity without any chance of redemption....what does God get out of that?? Why would a God who knows the end from the beginning, who IS love, whose mercy endures forever, torture anyone for a minute, let alone for all eternity?

It's people's choice on if they want a relationship with God or not. Everyone has a choice. Choosing separation from God is hell. Here's an example. Pretend you're homeless and you can't afford to have food or have shelter. Then I come around and tell you "If you choose to be my friend, I'll let you live in my mansion, and you'll have all the money and food you could ever dream of.". Then you say "No thanks, I don't want to be your friend". That's how God is with us. He's not going to force you to love him. He gives the opportunity to everyone.

Great answer. There are many things in the Bible that I don’t like. But I acknowledge that it is a matter of flesh. No one wants to believe there is hell and imagine that a love one will suffer for eternity, but God has warned us. He sent his only begotten son to save us from such torment. If we choose to ignore him, then it is on us.

Neither are those that experience hell just. If a sinful person were allowed to live 1000 years they would continue to be that sinful person. When Adam sinned in Genesis he was forced out of the garden and not allowed to access the tree of life , Why? So he would not live life in a fallen state. Simple faith in Jesus Christ is the remedy for sin. The rejection of him is what condemns the sinner to such a punishment. The rejection of the offer of Eternal life is Eternal damnation in Hell. Mankind’s choices have consequences.

Can you imagine anything more cruel than creating a human being in order for you to torture them forever by burning them? Not only this but you know they are to be burnt before you even create them. And to top it off the ones who you don't burn only escape because you bestow the necessary faith upon them, giving it to them as a gift that isn't based on any merit they as an individual display. Only a truly evil being would do that.

That is why I am not a Calvinist. God offers everyone the opportunity to spend eternity in Heaven or hell. It is us who decide where it will be by accepting or rejecting Jesus as our Savior. Don't blame God for our choices! If we spend eternity in hell, the greatest torment will be that we didn't have to.

I know this is an old post (9 years old) but here goes. If humans burned in hell forever, they've received eternal life, although not a desirable eternal life, its still eternal. Only those whos names are found in the lambs book of life shall inherit eternal life. You even read the scripture that confirms that being thrown into the lake of fire is the second death. Revelations 21:8.

Could you let your son been tortured with the most painful ways for all eternity for ever in hell? I used to think that but i am not sure after hearing so many NDEs testimony. If i could i wouldn't let anyone be tortured for all eternity. Even for Hittler(The bad guy model) that would be disproportional. May God forgive our sins. Lets love our brothers and sisters as ourselves and love above all the One that gave us life.

@av Those who are snuffed out of existence have no rest day or night. It's speaking of that eternal rest in Christ Jesus. They will never experience that eternal rest. We have literally HUNDREDS of texts in the Bible that tell us the wicked will be "no more", they will be "ashes under the soles of our feet", they will be "consumed", and "burned up". Keep in mind also that Revelation is a book of symbols, describing those who burn forever and ever as the "whore", "beast", & "false prophet".

yes Michael believes in the Bible. It is the truth even if it seems cruel and terrifying. Our knowledge is limited, only God knows the whole picture. When He asked Abraham to kill his own son, he did not hesitate for a single second. We must never hesitate when it comes to the word of God. We must obey it and believe it as absolute regardless of our perception.

He cites “forever and ever” from Revelation and the parable of the rich man in the Gospels. He cites Isaiah 14 and on and on. Have you considered the following? If people were tormented forever in hell how could all things be made new? Additionally, how could all tears be wiped away if you were saved and happily living in an earth recreated, but could still see loved ones burning in hell for eternity? Eternal life for you in heaven would be eternal torment as you continually saw those you loved in unending agony.

I disagree. I can be sad that people I love chose to reject the beautiful plan of salvation, but you make it sound like it wasn't their choice. The fact that they don't believe the truth does not make the truth cruel. That is like blaming gravity because someone jumped out of an airplane convinced they could fly, despite all the evidence and warnings.

I have listened to both arguments about the eternal suffering in hell fire for the lost, and the other argument the lost are destroyed in the lake of fire, eternally destroyed, and not live and burn in hell forever. I do hope and pray those who believe on eternal hell fire are wrong, I certainly would not want to spend eternity in heavenly bliss, knowing my daughter is suffering in hell fire forever. How in the world could one enjoy heaven knowing that? Think about it, really, stop and think about it, that is sadistic, simply perverse, evil. So I pray hell fire forever punishment believers are wrong, otherwise I think I will be on the heavenly committee petitioning Jesus to end all suffering, forever, and get rid of hell completely, so we all can move on and enjoy heaven the way it is meant to be. Wipe every tear from every eye, how can God do that for us when we know our loved ones are spending eternity suffering in hell?

The thing about eternity in hell i believe is not actually about punishment, rather it is a result of not accepting Jesus Christ as Lord of our lives and just wanting to live like most of the world at large. The pointy being that when we pass from this mortal life He won't recognize us as belonging to Him.

When people get a headache, a toothache or any type of pain they grab an aspirin or some type of pain killer. People use opioid to kill pain to the extent of addiction. We go to great measures to avoid pain. There will be no pain relief in hell. No escape. For eternity. I'm like you brother Pearl, I can't hardly look at it. Sadly how many of us Christians lose sleep or weep for a lost soul? How often do we share the plan of salvation? I feel ashamed for letting my God down. We see the sinful condition of our nation and I feel we as Christians have come up short in being the salt and light of this world.

There are many scriptures that speak of perishing of souls/burning up like chaff/etc. Therefore, at some point, they must be destroyed. I think the “eternal” part should be read as “afterlife”. That eradicated confusion. Ie, salvation in the afterlife (eternal salvation), punishment in the afterlife (eternal punishment), etc. Not that it happens unendingly, but that it happens in the eternal age/afterlife.

What you are missing is the flame in the parable is the flame of torment across the gulf from paradise which is a torment until judgement occurs. When the sinner is cast into the lake of fire there is no return nor will ever be seen nor thought of again. Their torment will be eternal but the memory of those sent into eternal torment will never again be. Or else Heavenly Paradise could never exist. The memory will never be remembered again forever!

I’ve been praying and looking more into this. We know that Hell is temporary with different sections where the dead souls are getting tormented depending on their sins. After Jesus reigns for 1000 years in Jerusalem and when the devil gets unchained, Jesus will send him, death, and Hell into the Lake of Fire which is the second death. The false prophet, the beast and the devil will be tormented forever and ever. In Greek translations “forever” was a time period depending on an era. So overall I know rejectors will be in Hell until end of Jesus’ 1000 years rule in Jerusalem. After that there will be the Great White Throne Judgement where God will open the book of life to so who will be in it. I’m praying to the Holy Spirit to reveal if Lake of Fire is eternal or the soul will die.

None of the verses except for the Lazarus passage, supported an eternal torment of human souls. The Revelation 20 passage states that's satan is tormented forever, but doesn't say that anyone else is tormented forever. I'm still not sure about eternal torment of human souls at this point. The passage says that the dead will be gathered up and thrown into the lake of fire, but it doesn't say what there fate is, or whether they will burn up and be terminated or not. I do think it's likely that souls will be tortured forever, but I'm not certain at this point.

But there's also those verse's that talk about other wise " Matthew 10:28 Both body and soul are destroyed in hell. "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." John 3:16 People who don't believe in Jesus shall perish and not receive eternal life. ALSO READ : Why is hell and its destructive forces necessary? The cleansing fire brings about a complete eradication of sin. Ezekiel 28:18-19 speaks the following about Satan, "Therefore I brought fire from your midst; it devoured you, and I turned you to ashes upon the earth...And [you] shall be no more forever.” With Satan and all wickedness burned up the Bible says that sin and affliction will not ever arise a second time (Nahum 1:9).

I try to reason with the Jw's but they're so trained and brainwashed it falls on deaf ears. Let's keep praying and hope we can plant a seed that the holy spirit can grow.

Some of Jesus' lesser known teachings on the afterlife … "I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." (John 12:32) "You [God] have given him [Jesus] authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him [Jesus]." (John 17:2) These 2 go together: "The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand." (John 3:35) "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out" (John 6:37) Jesus also mentions a new mother's "joy that a human being has come into the world" in John 16:21. Why would Jesus say this if most newborns will end up in hell forever?

According to Ezekiel 28 the devil is turned into ashes. Now would that be fair that everyone else suffers forever? When the one who perpetrated all sin and evil is destroyed?

I don't agree with your interpretation of this chapter. It is important when interpreting scripture, that we never interpret it in a way that contradicts the clear teaching of scripture elsewhere in the Bible. In other words, let the Bible interpret the Bible. Read Revelation 20:10 and you will see that the devil suffers forever.

I concur with Michael, but I do not understand why God would allow hell to be populated by so many. Why would God create so many souls who He knows would not be with Him in His eternal Kingdom.

Unquenchable doesn't mean it will never go out, it means it can't be put out. Imagine being in a place where there's no more sorrow, no pain, total peace, and constantly hearing trillions of people screaming in pain, constantly cursing the Father with foul language. If you can't grasp how peaceful it will be, imagine trying to study or sleep while your neighbor is playing heavy metal full blast and your windows rattling nonstop 24/7. This is what heaven will be like? Seems to me that here on earth is the most peaceful of the three. And Abraham is the comforter in heaven? None of this lines up with Scripture so perhaps we should consider who He was talking to.

We shall all receive Incorruptable bodies, some for everlasting Joy with the Lord, and some for everlasting Damnation with Satan, the incorruptable cannot be burned, but the pain that the flames inflicts upon the incorruptable body will be felt and shall be so for all eternity.

God says a soul never dies because we are made in God's image . That mean if go to heaven it's for enternal but sad if we go hell 🔥 it's for enternal hell. God bless all and I pray all to accept Jesus Christ (Yeshua) You should take no man or women word for it . That why look up information in the Bible your self. God Bless all ps great video and pastor

_"God says a soul never dies..."_ That is a blatant lie. Nowhere in the Bible will you find any such statement. Don't put words in God's mouth to suit your own bias.

@av1611preacher And for the record, the teaching I have espoused concerning the termination of the wicked in the Lake of Fire is not unique to JW's or Adventists. This teaching was prominent among many great Reformers in the Dark Ages, and was understood by many orthodox Jews. And also, I might remind you that Adventists have far more differences with JW's than you mainstream evangelicals do with them. Hell-fire is just a rare exception, but even we don't hold exactly the same on hell-fire.

according to David Pawson....the bulk of teaching, on hell is found, in the Book, of Matthew, and is taught, by none other, than Jesus, himself, and the shocker, is that it is addressed, to believers....once again hitting at that OSAS teaching.....so prevelant in so many denominations....

Because when people go to heaven there not all going to know how to act right away I'm sure there Still going to have to learn more about how to act up there. Because there's Christian's on earth that still don't act Like they r Christian There saved but by Grace so when they get to heaven there Gonna have to start learning how to act Up there or on the New Earth.

02 January 2020 - So far I never made any comments on your many videos and teachings besides hitting the like buttons because it was uploaded quite a few years ago. I am checking now if I have missed out on any which I have downloaded previously. I found it now necessary here at the start of 2020 to at least show my appreciation and respect for your work and say that I have found it very handy also for my bible study group and house church and my Sunday-school classes. I am glad that I have entered "The Door" of your world and learned so much from you which I could pass on to others without making a fool of myself to explain something so vitally important for people's souls. The truth will never get old, it doesn't matter from which year it was taught. BTW, Your beautiful beard does not fool me, I am a few years older than you and by the grace of GOD still able and busy doing the Father's work. I pray that God will bless you and your family in the coming years while we are all waiting with the blessed hope in our hearts on the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ who will wipe off all our tears. Shalom from a sunny South Africa and may 2020 be your best year.
