I think the problem with noise complaint was that initial bog down. It hooks way to good on the launch. Try slipping the clutch more to prevent bogging maybe. Gonna toast the clutch quicker but could help run quicker.

68 Gto came with a 455 why would you want to downgrade to a 30 over 350? Atleast go 383 stroker if you are wanting to put an old small block Chevy into a Pontiac Gto. I'd personally keep the big block 455 or atleast use a 400 Pontiac motor.

As a 25 year old who still to this day has a very similar car dream as you, do your best in school buddy. SAVE your money, look at reputable SUSTAINABLE career choices, and don’t get into drugs or alcohol or pornography either. They ruin your life. I’m not kidding at all. Sure have a girlfriend or whatever but don’t let it take over your life. Focus on YOU and your true desires and hobbies, not what your body craves. I did the exact opposite and I’m 25 still living at my parents house trying to turn my life around. Make yourself a (quote on quote) good boy before it’s too late. People think it matters what people think about you in middle/high school but it legit does NOT matter. The popular party kids are in prison now and I have nothing to do with them. Don’t get into it man, just be your car guy self and enjoy what you are doing. I was half and half car guy/party guy and I wish I would’ve just stayed a car guy. I won’t go into detail but partying and trying to be cool with the popular folk kinda ruined my early life. I’m out of it now and I’m a changed person… I don’t mean to send you such a long message but you sound just like me when I was your age so I hope I can pass the wisdom along.. much luck and love to you my man :)

Agree, with other comments. Go with a 400 or 455. No replacement for displacement. Blocks are the same size so a 455 fits where a 350 fits.

If ppl can't handle u being ur genuine self then perhaps they SHOULDN'T WATCH. Simple as that. As for me, I love everything about this channel. The wrenching bits, the unplanned comedy, spirited driving, passion for making the builds cohesive and fun, etc. Imo u give hot rodding a fantastic reputation and a genuinely worth while experience. And both Mustangs r pretty for how raw they look and how fast they seem. That being said, neither Mustang is better than the other. They have their own cool quirks.

Run a rubber hose from the front vent tube to the rear vent tube on the carb with a slit cut in the top side in the center of the hose so it still breathes.
