I'm really confused now because everybody's been telling me to get the A1 or the mini because of how quiet they are, if I want to have the printer on my main desk where i work/study/game the P1S would sound like a Boeing 737 taking off. Is it necessary to have the fans on at all or just when printing with certain types of filament? I do prefer the P1S' style and enclosure with the sleek AMS, however the noise was a real deal breaker for me. Thanks for your help :)

I am 10 days late, maybe too late? I have a P1P non enclosure next to my desk and I cannot hear it/the noise that I hear is not bothering me at all while doing work. Could be that the P1S is noisier? You dont need the AUX fan on AT ALL. I have upgraded that one on my P1P and had it one once..Only necessary on very special prints. If by "certain types of filament" you mean ASA/ABS, those should not be printed while you are in the room without a proper ventilation setup and even then, this enclosure would not be the best for ventilation. You should probably settle for a makeshift acrylic box with a ducting mount.

@@352tommy I really appreciate your response Tommy, and you're not too late as I haven't ordered the printer yet, however based on all the research I've done (including minimal noise levels), I've decided the A1 Mini ticks most of the boxes for my first printer, and if it turns out I've maxed out it's capability, I'll just have to set up a dedicated room for other bigger machines. Your comment is greatly appreciated though and I thank you for taking the time to share your experience. All the best from Western Australia 🦘😎🤙🏼

@@YaNeK92 I do not own an A1 mini but I wish it would have been out when I got into 3D printing a couple years ago! You most likely will not be disappointed and if you ever think you ran out of build volume, just check out softwares like "Luban" or alternatives. Splits up bigger prints for you and adds joints and holes to put/glue them together! Happy printing Yanek :)

how flame retardant is the hotbox? id like to know more
@laydnbeats9 ай бұрын
I actually find my P1S way noisier than the P1P. The enclosure makes every movement amplified, as it resonates with the panels. I tested fully opening my P1S and it's way quieter than open. Your Hotbox looks cool too

Is the Hotbox compatible with the X1C as well?

@@RathOX but most of, i can buy litteraly 6 printers with the same print quality at the same price. Oh wait you mean the multicolor print easy to use for beginner? Tell me how much "beginner" know how to create an obj with vertex color... for not talking about the big waste of material to make every color change...

@@CharlieToofBro the bambu printers are like 4x faster than other printers, and the printers you are referring to are cheap bed slingers which could not match the print quality of a coreXY with any amount of mods. Yes, I have an ender 3, but I don’t clown on bambu owners because their machines are simply better.

@@3DPrintex dont be a fan boy.. if we compare it with printers that have the same price range totally NO. Wasp pro or the s1..

@CharlieToof First off, stock S1? My stock S1 with perfect settings does great quality prints, yet cant get any close to the speed. So I would have to still invest into it to speed it up. So yes, we will end up at the same price range if people are smart and wait for actually good discounts on BL(got mine for 430€). Wasp is a delta printer and yes, delta printers can/are faster but not for every print. Really depends on the machine itself and the settings. Bambulab is the best allrounder for people that just want to press print and have no clue about tinkering nor nerves. Let's be real, it takes quite some time to get into the whole topic and to understand what you are actually reading. Not everyone has the mental capabilities to get it done all by themself. Yes, it is a closed environment but do those people really care? No, they do not and that is the reason why Bambulab is no money waste and will never be. They are not even overpriced to be fair. Yes, there are always gonna be machines that are half or two thirds the price but as I said before, as of now it often takes tinkering and much more playing around with settings than just press print and let it roll. Maybe be more open and not as ignorant and the world might look better. We are all here to print, we all enjoy the hobby so why are you behaving like a caveman that thinks his fire is better than anyone elses?
