Just bought one of these for my X1C, mainly printing PLA and ABS/ASA, I have another printer I use for PET/PETG that the profiles are really dialed in for, I may avoid printing PET(G) on this plate.

Thank you for your purchase, you will love PEX for PLA and most filaments! We also have an authentic Carbon Fiber Flexi Plate that works excellently on PETG and all higher grip filaments without any damage or having to tweak the settings. If you work with that filament a lot and this is something that interests you, here are the currently available sizes: www.whambamsystems.com/collections/carbon-fiber

Direct shipping from the USA to Spain is very expensive due to transport and customs 😥 I wish your products could be more accessible in my country, even if it were through Amazon Spain or another intermediary. I'm having trouble getting the prints to stick to the build plate. I made my own Z-stop spacer since the ones on the site did not fit. I think its leveled well, lightly scuffed the build plate, and I even have coated the FEP with PTFE (all the usual tricks), but I still can't get it to sitck if there is any sizeable footprint on the build plate. Any tips?

How can i get bubbles out of the bed?
@WhamBamSystems2 ай бұрын
its best to follow a good installation process, but if already installed and you have micro bubbles you can try a few heat cycles and they should slowly even out. If you have large bubbles you may need to poke a hole with a needle and try to use a roller to roll out the air.

I'm really confused now because everybody's been telling me to get the A1 or the mini because of how quiet they are, if I want to have the printer on my main desk where i work/study/game the P1S would sound like a Boeing 737 taking off. Is it necessary to have the fans on at all or just when printing with certain types of filament? I do prefer the P1S' style and enclosure with the sleek AMS, however the noise was a real deal breaker for me. Thanks for your help :)
@352tommy2 ай бұрын
I am 10 days late, maybe too late? I have a P1P non enclosure next to my desk and I cannot hear it/the noise that I hear is not bothering me at all while doing work. Could be that the P1S is noisier? You dont need the AUX fan on AT ALL. I have upgraded that one on my P1P and had it one once..Only necessary on very special prints. If by "certain types of filament" you mean ASA/ABS, those should not be printed while you are in the room without a proper ventilation setup and even then, this enclosure would not be the best for ventilation. You should probably settle for a makeshift acrylic box with a ducting mount.
@YaNeK922 ай бұрын
@@352tommy I really appreciate your response Tommy, and you're not too late as I haven't ordered the printer yet, however based on all the research I've done (including minimal noise levels), I've decided the A1 Mini ticks most of the boxes for my first printer, and if it turns out I've maxed out it's capability, I'll just have to set up a dedicated room for other bigger machines. Your comment is greatly appreciated though and I thank you for taking the time to share your experience. All the best from Western Australia 🦘😎🤙🏼

@@YaNeK92 I do not own an A1 mini but I wish it would have been out when I got into 3D printing a couple years ago!
