This is one of the top 3 Michael Weikath songs, and it's never allowed to be played live as he said. Andi Deris have more vocal ranges than Kiske will ever have, but can't sing this.

In 1990 the industry changed. All groups had troubles at that time and had to change their sound to survive. Actually Roland Grapow saved Helloween. Same happened to many bands : you were pushed to the wall to sound more commercial or just be forgotten.

I though the same. I love this album. It's one of the best heavy metal albums ever. Yes, it has its weaknesses as every albums, but overall this is is a classic.
@XaoFakeNick3 жыл бұрын
It's underrated because it came after the two volume epic Keeper of the seven keys. They came with more actual/modern theme in the lyrics. Metal heads back then did not welcome this, because we tend to be very picky and stubborn. This album just had bad timing, but it is freakin' great. I'd date to say it's even less pretentious and fresher than keeper 2. BTW, sorry for my bad english, it's not my first language.
@jarnolehtinen22693 жыл бұрын
I dare to say if this album had a Keeper style artwork, this would not be so underrated. People really underestimate the impact of the image an album cover can have in the image of the music in people's heads. This was such a departure from what they had done before, that fans could not relate, despite everyone loving the lady in the picture.. As far as music is concerned, if the whole album had followed the path of Mankind's heaviest parts, the album would have been epic..

metal fans are annoying and closed off sometimes, in 1992 they already had nostalgia for something made at the end of the 80s. I like the Pink Bubbles cover, it's less corny than usual power metal covers. The keeper of the seven Keys covers are iconic too but a band is not obligated to rehash a thing to no end just to please the fans

Love the nods to Eddie Van Halen in this song. I really didn't care for this album when it came out in 1991, apart from Kids of the Century and The Chance it seemed like a drop off in quality from the Keeper.... records. God, listening to it now, all these years later, it sounds just fantastic. Kiske at the height of his vocal ability before the clear boredom set in on Chameleon.

If these albums were under a different band name than Helloween these 2 later albums after seven keys might have been received differently. Following up after a masterpiece is no easy feat but these next albums shouldn’t have been under the name helloween. Great musicians all of these guys but should have started another band instead of force a 180 direction.
