I always end with the same question after seeing this speed runs: how much is "walk a station"? Like 500 meters? 2 km? 3 cm?

It really depends. For people in some parts of Tokyo 1 station is about 500 meters, but if you live outside the city it might be 20 km to the next station. IIRC, it's common to just use 1 station = 1.5km
