I became aware of Screaming Females after hearing them cover Taylor Swifts Shake It Off which was awesome. When I looked up their discography as well as some of their gigs and not only was I surprised these guys have been active for over 10 years at an Indie Label but I was amazed at how small their audiences were when watching the live gigs(bars and underground clubs) as this is one band who deserve a bigger audience(Festivals and Arena sized that is). And also I would go as far as to hail Screaming Females as Millenial/Hipster Punk.

Fibro or chronic fatigue syndrome, is a real thing. Yes its what doctors call it because to this date they still can identify the main cause of it. Most common is post glandular fever. I have it and recovering from it. Had to quit my band, DJ career, my job and my social life to try start getting better. Still on the road to recovery, its all about time and rest and graded exercise and eating right to get back on track. I hope she finds the time to get the help she needs and get back to playing music again ❤ Happy to point anyone in the right direction if they are suffering from it.

Great inside story, some great performance clips. Jersey Bands are in a class all their own. Glad to see a female rocker holding her own; Fibromyalgia has real science behind it, containing specific protocols one can follow to help offset symptoms. It is often like caring for oneself really consciously and learning how to open windows of time where noisy activity can happen, and then just as carefully closing the window to allow recovery and reboost.

"if you listen to our first album, she's still much better singer than I am but she wasn't nearly as good as she is now" I don't see that - There are at least three tracks on this album that are my absolute favorite SF songs and Marissa's vocal on Baby Teeth sounds just how it should be. P.S. what an outstanding band. I've lost the count of how many times I've seen them live.
