Relatable af, I used to take at least an hour or two to come to dinner back when I lived with my parents. I wish I had the same luxury I did years ago, but $hmoney comes first 🤌🤌😮💨

2:18 in a way its so funny to me that *_everyone_* who uses Kick2 in depth - even the most professional producers - mention as one of their first and most serious critiques about the plugin the missing linear/log toggle-switch for the waveform display. Their forums are filled with that request. I wrote to them myself a couple of times for that. AND THEY ALREADY HAD THAT FEATURE but removed it, because they think nobody would want it, because _with Kick2 you're supposed to create transients where only the beginning of the wave matters._ The linear/log switch would improve the whole plugin by magnitudes in my opinion. But even if they say that they'd still work on the plugin - it has been many years. The feature-request still pops up often - but sadly they don't really seem to want to improve it by adding the single little toggle-switch everyone is asking for...

Similar to those watery tom drums from the 80s! Or even just an 808 style kick, played a couple octaves up from the normal pitch position of a kick. Check the intro to this Reggae track, similar thing :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZCxqZmhoc6hmtE

...as he's sitting with a drum kit in the background _I learned woodshop, metal shop, and harvesting animal skins to record samples of light taps for the transients_ (❤ I'm a huge Noisia/Nik Roos fan, don't flame me 😂)

guys the plugin VISION 4X is freakn awesome. but please can you make a button, where you can unlink the zoom funktion. when i do snares or kicks, i put 2 instances together with one oszilloscope and the other with spectrogram and bar graph. and its super annoying that, when i zoom in into the wave form, concentrate on the tail or fundamental, it also automatically zooms in in the other instance in the spectrogram and bar graph, which i really dont want. im using 4x, since day one, its the best. please can you do this unlink thing???

I think it’s ironic that you mock production techniques that you say "were considered good" 10 years ago when the DnB released from 2010 to 2015 was some of the best ever, and had insanely high production values, which you helped raise the bar for. That’s when Noisia, Phace, Misanthrop, Mefjus, Calyx and Teebee were at their peak in terms of every track of theirs being instant classics and solid bangers. Whereas a lot of DnB now just sounds weak. The drums don’t have any impact, a lot of the bass sounds are extremely similar and not very interesting. Of course there is still a lot of very good DnB coming out these days still, but around 10 years ago was when it sounded and felt the best.
