I work in the low voltage field, and we notice when we have audio cables (speaker cables, xlr cables, basically anything taking in or sending audio) you will get that buzz when they are close to power cables. That could be why you heard the buzz with your computer and lights. Hope that helps!

The GoXLR actually does all of its processing on-board so there's no real hit to your PC, and you are more likely to get interference if you are using budget XLR cables, going with a really high-quality set like "Mogami XLR cables" and keeping the cable as short as possible should help significantly when it comes to audio interference. BTW, I use a dual PC streaming setup as well and I have my GoXLR setup on my gaming PC. The output from my GoXLR goes to the input of my streaming PC to send Mic, Game, and chat audio to OBS Studio, then output from the streaming PC comes back into the GoXLR so I can hear notifications, etc. The GoXLR makes the audio routing of a dual PC setup a lot easier for sure. Great video BTW.

I don’t know what you’re using for power delivery, but I highly suggest getting a Furman power conditioner, especially with that many pc’s plugged in. Also, you may try moving a plug ( the one causing the buzzing) to a different room, since each room is typically on their own circuit. I know, not ideal, just a suggestion to try😉. Great video!

@noisybutters in case you havent figured it out yet. For your mic stand you have to loosen the overall tension. When you remove the stand from the desk clamp piece you'll see a piece you can loosen and tighten with a screw driver. That'll keep your mic from rising back up when you move it.

The blue yeti boom arms do need heavier mics. But they're a great arm mostly because they never make noise when you move them. But at the base of the arm where it connects to the bottom is a small screw. If you loosen it. It will release some of the tension in your boom and it won't try and hit you in the head each time

Just a little tip, when blowing out your pc, hold the fanblades so that they don't spin, spinning them creates voltage which can overload circuitry in your pc without it being turned on/being plugged in.

Hey quick tip get a cable rack and screw it in under your desk then get Velcro straps and strap all the cables together and on that mouse pad I see it goes over the monitor stand put that under the stand to not mess up your mouse movement in anything and another thing get a 65% keyboard it’s so much smaller and it gives you what you need or a 70%

How do you stop LED interference? You should use wires of short length to prevent any disturbance. You can also use a shielded cable as it is considered as a very effective solution. You can use an EMI filter either at the output or input of your transformer. These filters are also known as ferrite chokes or ferrite beads.
@surestrike489310 ай бұрын
Quad xlr cable will reduce noise coming through the cable wall. It will cause a very slight reduction in audio quality but 99% of people don’t have hearing good enough to tell the difference unless they AB comparison them. Even then many people won’t hear the difference. These cables use 4 internal cables specially wrapped to remove noise.

@NoisyButters The mic stand lifting is a common problem with the Blue stands. There are another set of tensioners inside near the base I believe. There are videos out there about it. But I would recommend the RODE PSA-1 stand. It doesn't have the internal routing, but it is a far superior stand. I have a couple for my podcast desk. Guaranteed satisfaction.

The buzz is probably ground loop interference. Pretty much too much power into 1 source. Try plugging the lights into a separate outlet instead of a strip. That should take care of the issue. The only other things would be a new LED strip, or a frequency issue between the electronics. The last being the most difficult to deal with.

Definitely interference from the light power supply. You should try plugging one of them in on a different circuit (not just a different outlet, but an outlet on a different circuit). If that is a no-go, you can always get cable shielding which should block the interference you are picking up.

Try replacing the aux cable you have from the back of the GoXlr to your gaming pc with a ground loop isolator auxiliary cable. I have my GoXlr on my gaming pc and transfer audio to the streaming pc with ground loop isolating auxiliary cables. When I used regular auxiliary cables it caused the buzz sound. With ground loop isolating aux cables it eliminates the buzz entirely. Only other thing that causes a buzz in my ears is when my phone is too close to the headset cable. It goes away once my phone is away from the headset cable.

Hi, Did you turn Mortdecai off by the on/off switch? If yes. Close Windows down properly as it could be doing something in the background. And just turning the power off by the on/off switch will loose the data to what its doing in the background. It might even damage the Windows program. So the next time you turn on Mortdecai the Windows program will hang. And not work properly. Even some programs could get corrupted on your computer. F.Y.I. OH It might look like Mortdecai is doing nothing because you can only see the desktop and no programs seems to be running. But turning off the computer properly allows Windows to make a note of what it was doing in the background. And not lose everything. So it can finish what it was doing next time its turned on.

I have a few suggestions if you read this comment. You don't have to do them. There just there, to spark an idea that maybe you didn't think of. 1) It's always a good idea to use a UPS on each PC. It cleans up the power and it gives you time to save all your work when shutting your PC down. Or if you get 1500 VA's you can still use your PC's for around 30 minutes or longer (depending on the load) until the power comes back on. The larger UPS's have a digital read out telling you how much power your drawing and how much time you have left. I have 4 PC's and each has a 1500VA and one of them is running the modem and router so I stay online when the power goes out. Well it did when I was using DSL, now that I'm on cable I loose interwebs since the ISP didn't think of adding power back up to their nodes. Sad Face Fail Spectrum :( 2) If you want to hook up your consoles to the capture card you can get a HDMI switcher and plug in 3 or 4 devices into your capture card. I never tried it but I know they work on TV and there shouldn't be a reason why they wouldn't work on a capture card and they aren't too expensive (I think :) 3) If the LED strip is the cause, then maybe plug it in somewhere else with an extension cord or bite the bullet and get another one. I have a 5 dollar Walmart strip that is USB powered and I'm using a phone charger wall wart powering it and no audio buzz. It's just a thought, there are many options out there for LED strips and most aren't to expensive. I was just at Walmart over the week and they have a bunch of option and they are under the Monster brand. I know Monster Cable has gone off a cliff but they used to be top cable company years ago. But now Walmart carries it and it might be hit or miss in quality.

may I suggest use a USB switcher 3.0. basically it connects 2 pc and just press a button to connect either on game pc or stream pc. mostly use on keyboard bcs keyboard takes a lot of space. it really helps and keep a desk clean while streaming. :)
